Oregon militia threatens showdown with US agents at wildlife refuge

Tensions over the treatment of two cattle ranchers in Oregon escalated into an armed standoff over the weekend when members of a rightwing militia occupied a wildlife refuge and threatened a confrontation with federal authorities.

Ammon Bundy, the son of the Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, who was at the heart of a notorious showdown over cattle grazing rights last year, was among at least a dozen heavily armed men who seized the headquarters of the Malheur wildlife refuge on Saturday afternoon and said they would stay indefinitely.

They occupied the building after an earlier peaceful protest over the treatment of two ranchers, Dwight Hammond and his son Steve, who are facing custodial sentences related to arson charges. Both are due to report to prison on Monday.

Trump is pointing to center field. Obama is winding up for the pitch.

“It was GB who allowed border patrol agents to languish in jail before commuting their sentence...not pardoning. Waco, Ruby Ridge, Elian Gonzales?”

Waco, Ruby Ridge and the Elian Gonzales fiasco all happened under Clinton. The way that is written could give someone the impression that it happened under Bush.

My apologies...you're absolutely correct. It was under George Bush that elderly citizen border watch folks were labeled vigilantes from George Bush's own lips. It also was George Bush who sided against our border patrol guyz taking the side of a known illegal alien drug runner. He allowed these agents to languish in prison, destroying their careers and reputations. Causing hardship on their wives and kiddos. Ultimately commuting their sentences, not pardoning. Their records forever tarnished.

Ruby Ridge was August 21 1992.
Clinton was sworn in Jan 20 1993

That is our constitutional mandate

Ironic to read when Obama has just signed another un-constitutional EO about Guns/Background checks and Hillary is out there saying that when Congress (the Constitutional route) fails to act (doesn't aid and abet the lawlessness), then it's a President's duty to take solo action (that is unconstitutional in itself the way it has been used so often the last 7 years).

When those in Washington, who are sworn to uphold the Constitution and the Laws of the Land, decide that it isn't all that important anyway, and keep pushing further and further, weakening the ability of the People to resist, it becomes our constitutional mandate to take action before it becomes too late.

We have one Presidential candidate who seems to think the same way....

Ruby Ridge (1992) happened before Waco (1993), and Waco started under Bush Sr. Clinton continued the standoff and okayed the final massacre. Elian Gonzales was under Clinton. Add Gordon Kahl (1983) and MOVE (1985) to the list.

It hasn’t made it to MSM yet, but the fringe liberal extremist media is already on the attack. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hS3g5rAVyX8
