I’m in Colorado. Every morning I check my weather channel app. In our area, a three to five degree difference from the weather channel’s reported temp has been normal for years.

Since about Christmas, the reported temp has been consistently fifteen to twenty degrees warmer than our actual temp. (There’s nothing wrong with our outdoor thermometer.)

It’s odd.

Same here; NOAA and the Weather Underground are consistently off by as much as 40 degrees in reporting the low temps here.
I have 4 laboratory grade thermometers scattered around my farm here ( Taylor laboratory grade mercury thermometers 1 degree increments ).
I have 2 that are positioned for full sun exposure and 2 that are in the shade all day.
This morning and yesterday, both the sun exposed and the shaded thermometers agreed on the 08:00 temperature of 10 degrees Fahrenheit.
The afternoon temps were respectively; 22 degrees in the sun and 16 degrees in the shade.
According to NOAA and the Weather Ground; from the local weather recording stations in our little valley, the temps were 32 for an overnight low and 40 for the days high.
Either somebody is fudging the data or they really need to calibrate their instrumentation.
