“Our number one focus ought to be to destroy that monopoly which they hold over all forms of mass communication. We need to take television and the movies away from them.”

Wow. Someone actually said it. Like it is possible! And don’t try to tell me it isn’t possible because Hollywood didn’t produce Act of Valor, which is one of the best loved movies, and it was totally void of left wing tampering in it’s story.

I have a theory that the original Star Wars “A New Hope” came along when we as a culture were in a deep funk after Watergate, Viet Nam and over all defeated morale. That single movie, which pitted the small band of rebels against a Soviet style empire, with nothing but determination and will and right on their side, and they won. The next election was a landslide Reagan win, and a turning point in our country’s fight against communism combined with economic renewal.

Conservatism needs it’s own hollywood culture to defend conservative values as hollywood defends liberal.

I have been saying it for years. I am trying to get everyone else saying it as well. It *IS* the number one problem we face in this nation. The Left Wing Media produce a constant spew of left wing "normalization" of their ideas. They infuse virtually everything they do with a left wing world view.

And don't try to tell me it isn't possible because Hollywood didn’t produce Act of Valor, which is one of the best loved movies, and it was totally void of left wing tampering in it’s story.

We are making headway, but we need far more progress in this direction. We have been losing the war because they have so much control over what ideas and opinions get heard by the people.

The funny thing is, George Lucas intended for Star Wars to be about Vietnam. The "Rebels" were supposed to represent the "brave and courageous" Vietcong fighting against an imperialist oppressor. (Meant to be represented by us.)

The United States was meant to be the vast and mighty "Evil Empire."

Unfortunately for that Stupid commie loving asswipe, the public didn't see it that way. It backfired on him, but yeah, "Star Wars" was meant to be anti-American propaganda, just like most of what comes out of Hollyweird.

Conservatism needs it's own hollywood culture to defend conservative values as hollywood defends liberal.

It does, but it needs more than that. It needs deliberate efforts on the part of conservatives to cut Hollywood's Liberal economic throat. Glenn Reynolds is constantly mentioning that we need to "Repeal the Hollywood Tax cuts". That's a start. We need to use every means at our disposal to make their propaganda efforts cost them dollars. We need to obliterate their ability to make dollars with left wing activism.
