I've never seen a major political candidate who was less clear and concise myself. Trump's speeches are long, rambling, stream of consciousness riddles.
I've noticed the same thing myself. However what works in person doesn't necessarily translate well to the written page. If you try to read what Trump said, it's all grammatically incorrect, stream-of-consciousness stuff. But while that's not the way people usually talk when giving a formal speech, it is the way most people speak in ordinary conversation. And that's one of Trump's greatest strengths--getting you to feel like he's talking to you around the water cooler in the office.
He resonates with the average American and makes them feel included in the political process for a change.
For the information of the snarky people who belittle Trump’s plain speaking, most modern novels are written at third and fourth grade level as are most newspaper and magazine articles. Look it up!
Trump is damned smart to communicate with the people who will be voting, many for the first time. Look at the crowds of people who attend his rallys. You see old, young, women, men, blue collar and white collar, and all ethnicities represented. I call that an All-American support team.
And people rave about them. I guess people project their beliefs onto his ambiguities. He also has an air of self-confidence. So there's that.
Your buddy Cruz there talks at a 9th grade level which is why he will be so unlikeable to the masses. He’ll come across as insincere, fake and as talking down to the average voter. Mock Trump all you want but the man knows how and to whom he communicates with. Your condescension for all things and supporters of Trump is tiresome and again illustrates the basic problem your candidate has. Cruz talks to you, Trump talks to the masses.
