My wife and I got a recommendation from some Christian friends. Star tried episode 1 last night, and was amazed at all of the spiteful, hateful, sinful behavior, but we waited trying to see what was so redeeming about it.
The then (unknown to that point) homosexual reached for the other guy and I hit the off button. I am amazed that these supposedly solid Christians were recommending it to us.
There is a battle going on, and I am simply not going to work for Satan to help him spread his evil ways.
I will miss Maggie Smith who plays Lord Grantham’s mum. She is such a hoot.
That crap pollutes everything, sadly.
I loved "The Tudors", but it briefly had a queer couple. "The Walking Dead", a lesbian and a couple of queers. Hate it.
"TURN: Washington's Spies" had a homo man, but I was actually surprised that it was handled in a manner true to the Revolutionary period. The queer was found out and blackmailed, and called "unnatural." There was another comment, can't recall it exactly, but it was something about being "even lower than a sodomite."
Please don’t tell my Hubby about the snacks. lol
Yeah, Tom is shown as growing out of his Marxism as he becomes and adult and has increased personal and professional responsibilities. Along the lines of the old edict attributed to Churchill.
At the end he flees to America since he’s no longer accepted in his old Marxist circles, but also wont ever really fit with the old line aristocracy.
In many ways he can be seen as an ancestor of the “Reagan Democrat”

30 million viewers/US population 318 million = 9.4%
UK wins.
