Donald Trump: Obama tears 'sincere'

Donald Trump said this morning on Fox and Friends that he believes President Obama’s emotional address on gun control was “sincere” but that he’s pursuing the wrong strategy by “taking chunks” out of the Second Amendment.

“I actually think he was sincere. I’ll probably go down about five points in the polls by saying that, but I think he was sincere. But I think it’s a thing that he feels. I think he’s incorrect about it. He’s taking chunks and chunks out of the Second Amendment,” said Trump, arguing that there is a bigger problem with mentally ill people who aren’t getting the care they need.

But he said Hillary Clinton is actually worse than Obama when it comes to guns, claiming she “wants to take everyone’s gun away.”

Trump said if there were law-abiding citizens with firearms present during the Paris or San Bernardino terror attacks, lives could have been saved.

“People need protection, we need protection ... They want to take that safety net away and you can’t do it. We cannot tamper with the Second Amendment,” he said.

Trump explained to Sean Hannity last night that if he’s elected, he will repeal Obama’s executive actions on gun control.

He added that if Obama is dead set on changing gun laws, he must do it through Congress and not by executive action.

“What’s happening is the government is being run much differently than our founders had in mind,” Trump said. “This is the Second Amendment. This is a very important thing to people ... It’s unbelievable what’s happening.”

Don't worry by the time this thread is over a few will spin Trump's comments to tell us that he really called Obama a gun grabbing communist who should be impeached by Congress.

Of course Obama's tears are real.

But they're tears of unmitigated greed.....he plans to raise millions w/ each tear he manages to squeeze out.

Americans must demand to see fund solicitation letters coming out of Obama's tax-exempt presidential foundations and his Chicago library fund.

Are any of his WH comments used to forward his policy being regurgitated in fund solicitation latters?

Americans demand to know if US govt policy is being wrongly used....in an effort to raise tax-free money for the obamas.

Obama's tears were sincere - he's NOT a Bill Clinton... still the tears were also silly, stupid and self-serving - in that way there were like Clinton's...

Obama believes there are two groups - those who object to people being murdered - and those who think murder is fine.

He's a fool.

No one thinks it's OK to murder people - what we have is two groups who see the solution in different ways. Our side sees 'more guns - less crime' and the stats back us up.

Their side judges things based on how it makes them 'feel'. These meaningless new laws that damage the second amendment make Obama 'feel' deeply... and they'll have NO EFFECT whatsoever on the problem.

Solution? Vote for Trump, Cruz or Carson... and pray we can elect enough conservatives to turn this insanity around.

In my opinion, sooner or later Trump would be wise to say, “Stop asking me to comment and speculate on the motives behind everything the President says and does. I’m not his psychiatrist, and whether he’s brilliant or foolish, insane or sane, sincere or devious, doesn’t really matter. What matters is, what he is doing will not render the results this country needs because either he doesn’t understand cause and effect, or he does, and the effects he’s after are detrimental to the US. I appreciate the balance of what Trump said. He clearly is opposed to what the president decreed yesterday.

But Obama is NOT sincere. He knows damn well his proposals will do NOTHING to protect children. He is a tyrant, his aim is the goal of tyrants going back to the dawn of man.

Again, it is not helpful to our cause to give this man credit for sincerity when it is obvious he is not.

That little scene was so obviously rehearsed. I say give the loser an Oscar. If he thought that was sincere, he’s a bad judge of character. And I’m a huge Trump supporter. But he shouldn’t be saying anything nice about the enemy within.
