Ha!

My daughter, born in Minnesota as the progeny of a Scots-Irish father and a 1/2 Hispanic mother moved to Hawaii (Maui) right after college in 2011.

She, of “olive complexion”, sturdy framework and long black hair, had very little problem in obtaining the local discount card, reserved for “native Hawai’ians”.
She still ^looks^ Polynesian today.
Tribalism has become an economic joke!

Unless things have changed - it’s a good thing they didn’t mistake her for Portuguese.

I lived in Maui for 22 years and never saw or heard of a local discount card reserved for Native Hawaiians. I’d love to know where she obtained it. The DMV? State Tax office? McDonalds?
What other myths do you believe in - the tooth fairy?
