Donald Trump’s comment Cruz may not be constitutionally eligible to be President of the United States has sparked discussion on the Constitution’s Natural Born Clause.

Trump didn’t say Cruz was “constitutionally ineligible”. He said that the issue could cause problems for Cruz. That’s a big difference.
McCain brought up the issue of his citizenship, which is ironic as he ran for President but was born in Panama.
A big difference the anti-Trump crowd will avoid.

The Donald won’t do it. He is teasing someone on the DEMOCRAT side to try to inject it into the raced, then the whole question of the paternity of the Current Occupant comes up.
There are a lot of unanswered questions concerning the genealogy of the Current Occupant, and his actual status as a US citizen (he was admitted to college as a “foreign” student).

Nothing said here is going to have any effect on his this issue. But it WILL be an issue.
And Trump is right again. Trump was warning not attacking. His question is an intelligent one. Does the Republican party want to deal with this issue clouding all the other important things we’re facing right now if Cruz is the nominee? You can bet the Liberals will wring every moment of distraction out of the issue that they can.
And Obama invoked his natural born ‘disaster’ clause.
Liberal judge + liberal target = ruling of no standing + suits thrown out
Liberal judge + conservative target = suits go to trial + more suits filed
