Trying to make a name for herself, young lawyer Hillary defended Thomas Taylor, 41, in 1975 in Fayettville, Arkansas. Taylor was accused of raping a child after luring her into his truck that same year. Representing Taylor, Hillary managed to get a plea bargain for Taylor and he pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of "fondling of a child."
"Taylor had been arrested and accused of raping a 12-year-old girl. Clinton mounted a vigorous defense that included discrediting the child victim's story. Hillary then found a loophole in the prosecution case and brought it to the courts attention. Later, in an interview with Arkansas reporter Roy Reed which was intended for an Esquire magazine profile that was never published Hillary was recorded on tape laughing that she knew Taylor may have been guilty."
(Taylor had been charged with first-degree rape but with Hillary's "clever representation," he ultimately pleaded guilty to unlawful fondling of a minor.)

Sorry, but that is a non-issue.
Lawyers are expected to represent the scummiest of the scum , and use every trick they can come up with to get them off.
Even Charles Manson had representation that was trying to get him off.
Blame the profession, not the individual lawyer. We have plenty of dirt on Hill, starting with her being fired for lying when working on the Watergate investigation, covering for her raping husband, etc.
