President Barack Obama announced he will not endorse or campaign on behalf of any Democratic candidates who refuse to endorse new gun control measures in a New York Times op-ed published Thursday night.
"I will not campaign for, vote for or support any candidate, even in my own party, who does not support common-sense gun reform," Obama wrote in the editorial. "And if the 90 percent of Americans who do support common-sense gun reforms join me, we will elect the leadership we deserve."

If those who participated in the use of a firearm as a first offence during the execution of any criminal activity. When accused and were judged guilty. Then sentenced and given a mandatory minimum 50 year sentence with denied probation . Would current serious injuries and murder rates drop when blamed on the use of guns?
Disarming citizens is critical to his party (D) future. It’s not possible to bring socialism then communism to an armed population. I guess he thinks they’ve advanced far enough that they can drop the charade and kick out anyone who hasn’t bought into the ultimate goal.

The problem is Gun rights are one of the few issues that crosses all political lines.
I’ve met otherwise flaming liberals who were more vehemently pro gun than right leaning “Golfers with Guns”.
Alas, they are stupid and corrupt.
I think Trump will make a good play for them and the rest of the party in Congress will spoil it when they approve TPP later this year.
Common sense gun reform would include the addition to the curriculum of every high school, public and private, in the United States, a course in the care, feeding, grooming and legal use of all kinds of handguns, from pistols to big-game hunting rifles. The course, like Drivers’ Training, would not be mandatory, but also like Drivers’ Training, use of and operation of the identified equipment before the age of 21 would be subject to considerable restrictions and limitations.
The applicable course, like Drivers’ Training, may be offered by an agency outside the school system, and be fully accredited for the purchase and possession of firearms.
Then move forward with effective and adequate enforcement of taking guns away from those who possess them, and are currently prohibited by existing law - those adjudged to be felons, or of unstable mental state, or of untrustworthy history.
Obama needs to get Hillary to sign on to this horror... get her on the record so she can't say a film maker caused it...
