I have seen this type of mistake (leaving out key words) happen over and over, from a multitude of sources, and I wonder why it keeps happening.

Or just gibberish, like reading the Bowery Boys...

I think the phenomenon is linked to phone/tablet autocomplete/autocorrect programs and an absence of methodical proofreading.
