The PPN showed up because they heard additional militia groups were en route and they want to mediate and diffuse the situation on both sides. So what they said yesterday was true; other militias, who they have no control over, are just driving up uninvited and there is a real concern that an unstable person will arrive and try to trigger something. (This already happened two nights ago.)

What they desperately need right now more than more militia is an information PR person who isn't one of these Utah lawyers, who appear to be an arm of the GOPe and are more concerned with how the media will spin things than the safety of the men inside.

Frankly I was glad to see the PPN show up. They are cool heads and somebody needs to take control of this situation and broker a deal.

And provocateurs are a real problem in these kinds of situations.
