This concept of being brief is not new.

"I didn't have time to write a short letter, so I wrote a long letter instead." - Mark Twain

"Brevity is the soul of wit." - Polonius (actually credited to William Shakespeare.)

I’m starting to think about Trump’s similarities to Harry Truman...for those of us who remember him. Although Truman was a modest man, he was a non-politician, took over the presidency at one of the most crucial times in history, and had the inner strength to do what was necessary. He was also frugal with the taxpayers money.

He is the new RONALD REAGAN.

Humm... No, he isn't, Reagan was the great communicator...

Trumps stream of conscience rambling way of speaking is rather annoying and I think done on purpose as a marketing strategy ...

Reagan gave America a clear vision, a hope for the future though clear concise words and soaring rhetoric on how great we already are, we need just get government out of the way....

Reagan managed to talk to people in a way that didn't confuse the crap out them all except the most liberal moonbats...

I don't dislike Trump and if he is the nominee I have no problem voting for them...but lets not made him something he's not...

Correct me if I am wrong, (it's happened once or twice : -) ) has Trump ever said we need to grow government smaller ?

The new JFK? Man, let’s hope not. The last thing we need is another welfare state socialist who quails before Communist dictators, undermines our allies abroad, and favors Third World tyrants.

To refresh your memory, when he had the first televised debates with his opponent Richard Nixon, those who listened to the debate on radio (not everyone had a TV yet) gave the debates to Nixon. The TV audience was astronomical for the time and they carried that image to the polls.

There were four debates, and Nixon is said to have won the last three, performing much better than he did in the first.

Exact words or intimations that the government is too intrusive?

I bet if we took a poll on what folks wish Trump (or any other candidate) would say, we could fill 100 pages of single spaced paper in 6pt Times Roman....

Asking about what a person hasn't said is a sure way to ensure that nobody meets "standards' - the Left is grateful to such...

The globalists are not looking for the new JFK right now.

They’re looking for the new Lee Harvey Oswald.

He’s a melange of Teddy Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton.

More of the former than the latter.

Trump win is going to be Yuuuge because he transcends party lines. The far right might not like him, the far left might not like him, but he sure occupies a big chunk of territory in the middle.

>>Reagan managed to talk to people in a way that didn’t confuse the crap out them<<

With Reagan, there were absolutely no doubts about his conservative principals. Trump...not so much.

Secondly, Ronald Reagan didn’t speak in....I I I, me me me, you’re stupid, I’m great, Look at what I’ve done, you’re sad...on and on.

Is Trump supposed to read his position papers during his stump speech?

The corrupt media is pretending his position papers do not exist. His website lists 5 position papers:

US China trade reform
2nd Amendment rights
Immigration reform
Veterans Admin reform
Tax reform
