muslims had not better be able to call this shot... the next President needs to find the “law” that gave refugees or illegals the right to vote right off the bat. Find that law and put it back to what it was when our country took in LEGALS from all over the world. The waiting period to be eligible for citizenship was 7 years.. To come into our country, they had to have a sponsor, a job they left and a job waiting for them here.. plus a place to live. There were no frebees. I want to know when that was changed .. was there a law passed or was it a stroke of the pen.. or was it just no one stopping them from voting.. and no ID to show to vote. What happened and how did it happen.
The change happened around the time of the Kennedy administration I believe. It was a terrible move for Europe, because prior to that, Europe had the highest visas for entry...152,000 per year from Britain alone, and additionally all of Eastern Europe had large visas, too, so there was no waiting to get in if you were sponsored. Then it got changed to 10,000 total for ALL of Britain AND eastern Europe, and the wait to come in was approximately 10 years. And for the first 5 years your sponsors were financially accountable for your welfare if you hit hard times. After 5 years you were eligible to become naturalized citizens (3 years if you were married to an American).

I don’t think that the laws were changed, I just think that the democrats just conveniently forgot about it and the republicans let them get away with it. You know, the laws are not really for democrats.
