Must not be all that important to you. I’m not anybody’s research assistant. If they make an assertion and can’t be bothered to back it up, they can go pound sand.

You may now return to your regularly scheduled Trump-whining.

If you think Trump will carry NY over Clinton, I’ve got a bridge to sell ya.

On the GOP ticket, he has no chance of carrying NY. NYC will not allow it, especially with Clinton as the opposing candidate.

PA/the rust belt is about voter turnout. When we have an actual solid conservative candidate, they turn out in droves.

Cruz would carry those state IMO.

To clarify, are you suggesting Cruz would carry New York?

Please do.

Of course, it’s a two way street, so if Trump gets the nom and moves hard left as is normal for a liberal masquerading as a conservative, be prepared to eat some humble pie...

Of course what would it matter, we’ll be screwed for another 4 years, and the GOPe would have successfully put down our most conservative candidate since Reagan by convincing you guys to dismiss Cruz...

Good thing it’ll be going the other way beginning in February with a solid win by Cruz.

Should Cruz fall short of your expectations, I do hope you have suicide prevention on speed-dial.

I think you underestimate the power of Trump in N.Y.

He has created jobs...lots of jobs. He has close ties to the Jewish community...some feel as though he is one of them. They are rethinking their support for liberal policies in light of the spike in terror threats here at home.

Hillary may not be the candidate. Even so...Trump has a chance at N.Y. whereas Ted has no shot at all. The rest of the states will go for Trump for improved economics....that plays well in PA and the Rust Belt.....

JMHO

Wow. That’s more of those “facts” you claim to post.

You’re way over the top, slobberingly in love with the reality tv star.

And your”fact” that Trump supporters would never flip to Cruz is just stupid based on the number of FReepers like me that like both.

Quite correct.

The Trump-hating crowd underestimates his broad-based appeal, which I’m sure is quite ok with him. That’s how people wake up in the morning, wondering what the Hell happened do their cherished assumptions.

The only guy who can win the general election is a solid conservative.

A solid conservative that the people see as a solid conservative will go down in a landslide. This is not the same country that Reagan ran in, and the GOPe helped make it that way.

There is no sane logical explanation for what the leaders of the Western World are doing to their Country via an uncontrolled Muslim invasion. What power could have convinced all of them to commit mass suicide, for surely that is what they are doing.

And he actually knows the law and the constitution unlike Trump.

Sure he does but he is fine bending it a little if it suits their aim. Natural Born Citizen is not equal to a Citizen not naturalized, and you and Mark muddying the issue up in order to promote an un-Constitutionly qualified candidate reveals a lot.

The term Natural Born Citizen was use exactly once in the Constitution and was applied to the highest office in the land because that job required an undisputed patriot.

Now you say the founders were just lazy and they actually didn't mean to put that special designation into the qualifications, they actually just meant a citizen that was not naturalized by statute. Because they knew that someday invaders would come and have children here and they too would become Natural Born Citizens. Even those citizens who leave to train in ISIS training camps and have children, while training to kill us, they can also become Natural Born Citizens.

Do you not see the failing in this interpretation?

Congress can pass all the resolutions and statutes they want but neither of those actions can amend the Constitution which is what is required to eliminate Natural Born Citizen from the Constitutional requirements. Nothing however prevents them from just changing the definition of Natural Born Citizen, and convincing people that it doesn't mean what it says then free sailing for all the other non citizens who have a desire to take over our Republic, without firing a shot.

Levin is wrong and so are you. Common sense demands that you are wrong.

So we have a candidate who is changing with every day. That's just fine with me. He couldn't possibly do worse than what we have in either party now.

What are you going to do when he changes back to what he was in 2008? Because that will be worse than "what we have in either party now."

What is "just fine" with you -- a candidate who changes with every day -- is very bad with reality. Might as well opt for a Constitution that "changes with every day."

Including Cruz with the religion shitte card and the birther shitte card being played to no avail. Neither one stuck.

You wish that were true but it isn't. Trump's casual mention of legal problems ahead was pure genius and a little underhanded. No matter how the issue is handled it does one thing, it declare Trump was born in Canada and whether that is a legal issue or not, it certainly will become a campaign issue with late night commie jokesters racking up plenty of laughs at Cruz's expense.

“Still have not heard one single person even mention Cruz, in my part of the world.”

Some people I know don’t even know who Ted Cruz IS, let alone considering him as a POTUS.

...if Trump gets the nom and moves hard left as is normal for a liberal masquerading as a conservative, be prepared to eat some humble pie...

Trust me plewis, they NONE OF THEM will remotely be accountable. They will blame everyone but themselves. They will tell anyone who will listen, "I didn't really vote for Trump, I voted against [Hillary or Sanders or whoever gets the Dem nod]." People here have written with presumably straight faces that heavens no, good God no, they didn't vote for horrific liberal Romney in 2012 when they voted Republican, they voted against Obama!! How could I possibly accuse them of voting for a liberal?

So count on it -- if Trump wins, when he turns hard left (and if he wins, that is exactly what he will do), the people who voted for him with their eyes wide open to this possibility after better-informed folks like us told them it would happen, will STILL refuse to be accountable for what they voted for.

In 2012, I awakened from the same slumber that still holds so many Republicans and conservatives. I woke up and as of Nov. 2012, I will ONLY vote for what I'm willing to be accountable for if it wins. If I have to vote FOR a plurality to avoid voting for rank stupidity or leftism in a Republican candidate, then that's how I will vote because a majority-opposed plurality is the best "win" possible for whichever leftist gains the White House, the R or the D. Clinton was opposed by the majority of voters both times he failed to muster anything but a minority; it made him vulnerable, he was steamrolled by the Republican Revolution, and then impeached. I'm okay with voting for making a leftist president face those odds.

If the R candidate is a leftist and/or a bold-faced liar, my vote will go elsewhere. I now refuse to vote for "winning" something I abhor, no matter how angry people get at me for "letting" the Democrat so-and-so beat the Republican leftist.

"Some GOPers so dislike Trump they'd rather see Clinton win."

It's not so much Trump they dislike as much as it is the people in America who are sick of establishment cronyism and are ready to support him over turning the apple cart.
