The free stuff crowd is all high...they will forget when they need to vote.
Obama had them fired up on race...Bernie can't fire them up on anything but crazy gray hair.

The core of the Democratic party, the blue collar, union workers, only want 'free stuff' for themselves. If they honestly believe that he will be diverting THEIR free stuff money, to others, he will lose their supply.
I really don't think that moderate Democrats will support an idealistic socialist. They will support him if they think he's only saying it to get elected (like Clinton), but if they actually believe him, they won't, because that would be giving up money that they feel entitled to.
