So what are they doing with that $1.5 billion dollars?
If you choose to pay a fine instead of getting insurance and you have to go to the hospital, I’m assuming you don’t have the money to pay your hospital bill. Shouldn’t this money the IRS is collecting go to those hospitals so they don’t have to raise prices to everyone else to recoup the loss?
Buried in your post is the solution to all of this. Write into law that healthcare providers do not have to treat people who cannot pay, drop the law forcing people to buy health insurance.
That would be too logical. The IRS probably uses it for big parties and for audits of conservative taxpayers.
