We castigate Republican elected officials for going to DC and going liberal.
But here at FR those same people who berated officials have
rushed to a Populist instead of a conservative for president.
Seems like any True Conservative here who has a criticism of
this is fully justified.
And new FR’s who contribute little but blind personality worship will have to take their lumps.

It was Ted Cruz. Ted sent a memo to Bush either telling him to come out against Proposition 187, or how to explain he was against it to the media.
Proposition 187 was California’s attempt to get illegal alien costs under control
The citizens of California got Prop 187 on the ballet. The voted for it. It passed.
The the Ninth Circuit stepped in. Gray Davis and the then California Attorney General decided not to appeal the ruling.
Then you get guys out of state trashing Californians for trying to address the issue. That’s RINO territory right there.
It’s also a State’s Rights issue. I thought Conservatives believed in that.
So either Ted was not a Conservative on that issue, or he was a Republican willing to go along to get along.
I’m sorry, but that IS NOT a Conservative thing to do.
Ted Cruz in 2011 stated that the 14th Amendment does cover the children of illegal aliens, makes them citizens when born on U. S. soil.
I don’t know many knowledgeable Conservatives that flat out concede that point. Levin doesn’t.
So when it comes to Ted, and his Conservative credentials, don’t talk to me about a solid Conservative.
I’m not buying what you’re selling.
I would never state that Trump was a solid Conservative. He never lied to me and said he was. He has his political moles, he’s just not telling me they’re pimples.
Trump doesn’t make excuses. He is what he is. With Trump I’ve never felt like he was Mr. “Have I got and excuse for you.”
I can’t say that about Ted.
