Yes, upstate is much more conservative. When Cruz said NY Values, I’m sure most people (if they are being honest) immediately thought that he was referring to NYC.

I saw it in a posting on a thread at Conservative Treehouse. I have searched the inter webs and so far have found no information regarding the issue. I tried going back to the original posting, but it is buried somewhere and I was unable to find it to ask for more information. So at this point I will have to say that this time there is no information regarding Ted Cruz helping to overturn Prop 187 here in CA.
I’m a huge Trump supporter...my number one choice, but I completely understood Cruz’s comments. Take a look at NYC...any issue...and what Ted said is perfectly understandable...it is a Liberal cesspool!

Exactly- Cruz mentioned correctly that NY is liberal by and large- and he’s correct- it is=- Trump Ignored that and changed the subject- never did offer a rebuttal

The average voter is not always a political junkie like we are here so Trump’s seemingly reasonable request for a declaratory judgement sounds very reasonable to the average voter.

Again- all points that back up Cruz’s claim- and it’s actually even much worse than those points- the taxes, the gun grabbing- on and on and on it goes- showing that CRuz was absolutely right about NY politics- liberal to the core- It doesn’t get much more liberal than NY

As a New Yorker I can tell you that there are a lot of conservatives in the city, and our main values are; toughness, hard-work, and tenacity.
There’s a reason New York is the financial capital of the World!
And as far as Ted Cruz he sure loves New York City when it’s time to get some campaign money.

New York city is on the front line on the war of terror. You weren’t there, you didn’t rush out and see the smoke on the horizon, I did.
Yeah there’s a lot of liberals in New York, yeah New York makes some HORRIBLE political decisions, but New York went for Reagan TWICE! And we will go for TRUMP!
The same city gave over 80% of its vote to Obama. That’s the city I grew up in and I have no use for it any more. The battle of ideas has New York on one side and Texas on the other. Having lived in both, I will side with Texas.
