“Wehner lays out many criticisms of the Republican front-runner, and I cannot but agree with them. “He would be the most unqualified president in American history,” he says. Indeed. Compared with Trump, Barack Obama was a political veteran when he was elected to the presidency.”

“and I cannot but agree with them???

That is about as far as I got reading that article. “Compared with Trump, Barack Obama was a political veteran when he was elected to the presidency.”

Anyone who thinks that Obama’s political experience was valid, or positive for the country, is a fool. If these people think that a man who builds an empire such as Trump has and who was sought after by these “veteran” politicians is merely a political neophyte are, again, fools. His unusually successful business experience means he is accustomed to getting things done, as opposed to politicians, who are accustomed to posturing and trolling for votes.

I noticed Cruz and some others last night. Evidently, political experience is not what I am looking for, personally.

Cruz is still my guy, but I like Trump and would gladly vote for him, if for no other reason than it would be sooo nice to once again have a President who loves America.

Romney as president, no. However, Romney was a flawed candidate from the start who preferred being a “gentleman” to saving the nation.

This is the Dewey wing against the Taft wing all over again.
That’s what it always is. You cannot ever trust the Dewey wing with the White House.

I didn’t want him either. But it is either foolish, naïve, or certifiably insane to have allowed Obama to stay in power. He has only just begun the destruction.

Romney brought the defeat on himself. He would have been completely inadequate to the job. I’m sorry, he’d be Obama without the petulance and expensive trips.
My read of Trump is that results override image. What you think of him, what he may think of you, matters naught.
He won’t care if he’s seen as picking on the girl.

Being “completely inadequate” in your opinion vs. deliberately destroying the country are quite different. Our conversation can no longer serve any useful purpose.

If you let others influence your decision about who to support you're weak.

Fascinating opinion. I presume you come to FR for the free donuts.

No, I come here for news, opinion and debate. But I think for myself. You should try it sometime.

Let me give it a shot right now. You state that you don't make up your mind based on other people's opinions and that you don't think others should either, then you state you come her for other people's opinions. So I must conclude that you are either in need of affirmation, or you are a masochist.

Personally, I make up my mind after obtaining the facts. I then listen to various opinions to see if there is any angle that I missed, and adjust my opinion accordingly.

So strictly thinking for myself, I prefer my methodology over yours.

Regards and enjoy the donuts.

The same reason I’d vote for Jeb if need be, because Hillary’s withered hoohah must never again darken the White House.
