Trump vs. Cruz: It's 'New York values' vs. 'Duck Dynasty' values, America
foxnews ^ | 1/15/16 | t starnes

Liberals and the mainstream media are foaming at the mouth over the comment Senator Ted Cruz made Thursday night about “New York values.”

Now, all of us folks who are not New York City liberals know exactly what Senator Cruz was talking about -- and it had nothing to do with the aftermath of 9/11.

Senator Cruz was talking about cultural and political values.

“Duck Dynasty” values versus Big Apple values.

As an expatriate Southerner who resides among the indigenous liberal population of Brooklyn, I know of what the senator speaks.

And to suggest that the senator was referring to the brave firefighters and police officers who were massacred in the 2001 terrorist attacks is not only disgusting but an outright lie.

But liberal politicians have never let the truth get in the way of their ugly agendas.

“I am disgusted at the insult that Ted Cruz threw at this city, and its people,” de Blasio said Friday. “And the bottom line is he does not understand, in the least, New York values.”

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo called the comment “offensive” and said if he “had any class he would apologize to the people of New York.”

That’s the same governor who once said that “extreme conservatives” who are pro-life and pro-gun are not welcome in his state.

Ducks are good on a plate, well baked and sauced. Aside from that, they are only good for dirtying up wherever they exist.

I’m not voting for or against New Yorkers. I’m voting for the man who CAN get this country back on track! The ECONOMY and NATIONAL SECURITY are my issues. Prattle on about who sleeps with whom to your heart’s content. i don’t read trash nor care who does. I want a country in which my grandchildren will have a future.

NY vs Duck Dynasty..I am so glad that my obvious betters of the pundit class have to school an uneducated, low IQ serf such as me in a way I can understand.

My thought upon hearing Cruz being “clever” last night was that I have had almost 8 years of divisive crap from the CiC, and America is not better for it.

Donald Trump has united people, as evidenced by the massive turnouts at his rallies. He has done that by reaching out to
us as Americans.

Cruz can play the division card, but it will not serve him well. Maybe Cruz has just led a more insular life, and hasn’t figured it out yet.

The faux outrage is a great indicator insincerity.

The faux outrage is hilarious coming from Trump and his supporters. How many times has Trump railed against political correctness? But now that Cruz said something politically incorrect about New York, it's a different story, i guess.

Speaking of values......

On Thursday, Goldman Sachs agreed on a deal with the US government to pay a $5 billion fine for bogus marketing schemes on home mortgages during the financial crisis seven years ago.

Isn't this ducky?

Bringing up 9-11 was like democrats playing the race card, it is a very liberal thing to do, it reflects NY values.

“Cruz can play the division card, but it will not serve him well.”

What he is doing is brilliant in defining the difference between his social conservatism and the lack thereof by the Donald. This reminds, for example Southerners, who might be thinking of Trump that he does not represent social conservatism.

As far as dividers, I believe we must again be pointing out immorality vs morality, just like we have been commanded in the Bible.

This ‘We need to get along’ crap must stop, especially when due to PC we are told to embrace evil like abortion or homosexuality.

guess I am a duck too.
I have read so many people who do not understand what Ted is referring to.

They understand exactly what Cruz was referring to. They are choosing to appear outraged and come off looking like... NYers.

It's a telling posture for Trump to take. It shows just how much he is all about performance and no substance, willing to take whatever position gets him where he wants to be. He has no underlying principles that determine his positions, only goals to achieve. Trump is the classic ends justify the means politician, i.e. Democrat through and through.

You mean like the time when GW Bush used a picture of himself on 9-11 in his reelection campaign, and the liberals went ballistic?

Donald Trump has united people..

Are you from Bizzarro World?

I suppose that he has united a whole lot of people who can't stand the arrogant, narcissistic summabitch. On the other hand, he has driven a huge wedge of distrust between several members of my family.

Well Said!! I AGREE! Cruz is a lawyer/politician. His sarcastic remarks towards Trump well, just gave him a lot of out-rage among people. His EGO to Best Trump just cost him big-time.
