That would be the most palatable outcome. A Trump/Cruz or a Cruz/Trump ticket. It would offset the handful of qualms I have about both men. A pretty rock-solid ticket in my mind.

No, by all means continue to trust the “conservatives” we sent to Congress - who have sold us down the river, including St. Cruz. He knows the ropes of voting and how he can be for something and then vote against it - they all do it, and it gives them cover. Wise up! No more politicans - they can’t be trusted.

TRUMP: Vladimir Putin's praise is 'a great honor'

Business Insider ^ | December 17, 2015 | By Maxwell Tani

Republican US presidential front-runner Donald Trump is apparently "honored" that Russian President Vladimir Putin considers the real-estate magnate a "flamboyant" and "very talented" man.

"It is always a great honor to be so nicely complimented by a man so highly respected within his own country and beyond," Trump said in a statement, according to Politico.

He continued: "I have always felt that Russia and the United States should be able to work well with each other towards defeating terrorism and restoring world peace, not to mention trade and all of the other benefits derived from mutual respect."

How Russia arms America's southern neighbors

Ioan Grillo
May 9, 2014

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil -- Russia's push into Ukraine has put many on edge. But less known is that Russia is also strengthening its military links south of the Rio Grande and re-establishing itself as a power in the region.

Vladimir Putin has been strengthening military links here, and Russia is now the largest arms dealer to governments in Latin America, surpassing the United States.

Russia has even floated the possibility of building new military bases in Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, and putting its warships permanently in the Caribbean.

In the midst of the Ukraine crisis, Russia's top diplomat Sergei Lavrov recently visited Cuba, Peru, Chile, and Nicaragua, where he announced that Russia would also pour money into the new Central American canal project. ..."

Russia Boosts Arms, Training for Leftist Latin Militaries

Moscow defense minister inks deals with Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua for joint exercises

BY: Bill Gertz
February 20, 2015

Russia agreed to provide military training for three leftist regimes in Latin America and increase military visits and exercises following a visit last week to the region by Moscow's Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu, Pentagon officials said.

Shoygu met with defense and military leaders in Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua and signed several agreements on warship visits and military training during the visit, which ran from Feb. 11 to 14. It is not clear whether any new arms deals were completed during the visit.

Defense officials said the Russian leader is seeking bases in the region for strategic bomber flights that Shoygu recently promised would include flights over the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean.

From a highly respected conservative source,
Cliff Kincaid of Accuracy In Media (AIM)...

" Trump's relationship with Russia goes far back. In 1987, before the collapse of the Soviet Union, he was meeting with Soviet officials and negotiating the building of "luxury hotels" in Moscow and Leningrad .

A story at the time said Trump had met Soviet Ambassador Yuri Dubinin, who mentioned how much his daughter had admired the "opulent" Trump Tower in New York City. This led to an invitation to Trump to visit the USSR. The story said Dubinin wrote a letter to Trump, who hosted a meeting with Soviet officials in New York.

The invitation to Moscow was issued by Intourist, the giant Soviet in-country travel organization which operated all the hotels for foreigners in the Soviet Union.

Intourist was created in 1929 by Joseph Stalin and run by KGB officials. Intourist hotels were designed for wealthy foreigners, and virtually all the Intourist guides were KGB informers. In fact, one aspect of their jobs was the recruitment of foreigners. ..."

"...we are left thinking [whether] Trump understands the aggressive intentions of Vladimir Putin.

"...when Trump was asked about the nuclear balance with Russia during the most recent Republican presidential debate, he displayed ignorance of the decaying nature of the U.S. nuclear triad, which constitutes our ability to deter and survive a Russian nuclear first strike.

"Putin has just presided over a ceremony honoring the KGB's successor agencies, and the Russia Today (RT) propaganda channel has announced the grand opening of a "cultural center" dedicated to mass murderer Joseph Stalin.

It looks like Putin has outmaneuvered Obama and Trump. It is an opening for Trump's opponents, especially Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Marco Rubio (R-FL). But do they have the courage to "follow the money" and hold Trump accountable for doing business with a criminal regime that threatens the survival of the United States? At the end of this money trail, they may find an explanation of why Trump is so reluctant to hold Putin responsible for his crimes.

Get your sh** together - Cruz started this with his “hot mic” moment, and he jokes about everything. Talk about a non-serious candidate. Everything is one big joke to him and this country is going to he** in a handbasket.

I still want to know if and how many politicians he bought off with those much vaunted donations. Seriously, if he is hanging his hat on the rule of law, bribery or influence buying are illegal and until this is thoroughly vetted it will haunt him.

His supporters say he`s not a political insider, well there are two kinds of insiders, the politicians that sell influence and the corrupt corporations and business people who buy it. So many seem to forget that`s at the heart of the dysfunction in DC and America`s political system.

Either way, regardless of who wins the primary, I will never vote the lesser of two evils again, that includes voting for the grifter, business person side of the corruption equation. Either these charges get a good vetting or I will vote third party if Trump wins. I know, 'He`s going to win by a landslide so he doesn`t need your vote!', cool, then it won`t do any harm, right?

Bold and brash? how about rude and stupid? Seems more fitting when talking about “the Donald”. Trump is living proof that’s there are more horses asses than there are horses.

Cruz’s supporters are no different than Obama’s were 8 years ago, remember all the stuff they said then? Haven’t we learned anything about “the ruling class”, the “uniparty” or whatever you want to call it? Dem or Rep, red or blue, Cruz went to the same elite Ivy League schools, graduated from Harvard just like Obama did, used those connections to enhance his career, then leveraged his ability to rouse peoples passions by making speeches to get into the Senate. Now he’s decided without even serving one full term, that he’s “the won”. Fool us once, shame on you...fool us twice...

Nope, Twitter and Facebook are Trump’s NY Times. 12 Million circulation with none of the losses. Also better ratings than all the news networks combined including Fox News.

Nice post!

I like Cruz, but he does not appeal to the masses like Trump.

Nevertheless, some of Cruz’s supporters are certainly delusional.

Most people thought Trump won the debate. Besides people do not switch their vote based on one debate.

Trump is almost 30 points ahead of Cruz. It’s not even remotely close.

Thanks Ted. From all of us in the heartland who still believe in truth, freedom and the American way. Who still believe in the constitution and principles. Who appreciate your Reagan-like qualities - hitting on issues.
Thanks Ted for all the conservative principles you fought for at the Supreme Court, and your SC amicus briefs which won top brief for five years in a row. Thank you for winning the case that freed us from the Internal Court which you fought for against our own government. Thank you Ted for standing up for right and wrong, no matter the person’s religion, color or creed. Thank you for running to preserve out constitution and way of life. Thanks Ted for the 30 plus years you have studied all things conservative from politics to economics to foreign policy.
Thanks Ted for NEVER ridiculing ANYONE because of their looks, disabilities and that they disagree or that they disagree with you.
Thanks Ted for always being who you really are instead of changing with the wind to be on the ins with anyone.
Thanks most of all for running this job with the best credentials conservatives could ever ask for.
