I watched the GS interview. Tough but fair.

I got the feeling that Trump is really, really disgusted about Cruz not reporting and also obscuring those bank loans. That makes sense. Trump the businessman knows that a reputation for being dependable, honest, and trustworthy in dealings is essential to success. Trump also showed the trait of loyalty. Trump is loyal to his hometown, and Cruz attacking it felt like a personal attack on him.

GS asked the question. DT agreed that he'd have standing, and he didn't discount the possibility of pursuing the eligibility issue. Remember that this when this started Trump was saying Cruz should get the issue definitively answered. It's telling that Cruz didn't do that.

Trump seemed kinder to Rubio in his statements than ever before. I'm wondering if Rubio isn't a better fit for Trump.

Cruz’s surge came while he was still in non-attack mode. We’ll see how it goes... jumping on the Trump grenade hasn’t proven itself to be a very good strategy so far.

This is what was actually said:

“”That sounds like a very big case. I’d do the public a big favor,” Trump told the ABC host. “It’s a good idea. Maybe I’ll talk to them about it. I’d like to talk to Ted about it, see how he’d feel about it. Because you know, when I file suits, I file real suits.”

... That and floating John Kaisich as a possible VP pick. I’ve been suspicious since the beginning that Trump would head for the exits at some point.

Trump was a liar then and he is a liar now. There is no reason to give him points for stumbling across the truth every now and then. Character mattered when Clinton was elected, it mattered when Obama was elected, and it matters now.

Cruz should demand that Trump to file suit against him on the eligibility issue if Trump truly believes what he is saying now, versus what he was saying in September. Cruz may not win the nomination but he can certainly expose Trump as just another lying liberal who will say and do anything to feather his own bed.

I’ve been a Cruz supporter, but really liked what Trump has to say on the issues. I would have likely voted for Trump if he’s the nominee.

Today changed everything. I watched the Sunday morning shows this morning and was SHOCKED at the hatefulness, vindictiveness, vileness.....of Trump towards Cruz. Trump is totally unhinged. There is no way I’d trust Trump with the 3 am call to make a rational decision on war or peace. He’s nothing but a reactionary. I’m EXTREMELY disappointed in Trump. I was in hopes that he’d take the high road....sadly his true colors are shining through.

There is no way in the world I can support Trump.

That gives me pause, too. Trump definitely said he would not be filing suit. I would like to believe Trump is filing suit to get this issue out of the way and Cruz is OK with it because Trump wants Cruz as a running mate, but with all the recent nastiness back and forth, I think Trump is just going back on his word. Don’t like to see that and Trump is going to lose points on this.

As a person who likes both candidates, it is very disheartening to see the bickering going on not only between the two, but to see that very same bickering here as well. It seems like most of the topics posted lately is of one candidate or camp slamming the other. The only silver lining so far is, the demoncrats are doing the same with their two candidates. I will support whichever of the two is the nominee, but if both are out and we are offered another Bush.....no thanks.

Go for it Donald. Make a complete fool of yourself with yet another 180 degree turn within just a few weeks. From nice Cruz to nasty Cruz. From edible Cruz to ineligible Cruz.

I’m waiting to see what happens next with “... build the wall and make Mexico pay for it..”

Trump vs Cruz in court ... wow, that would be interesting. Does "natural born citizenship" still follow the father? Or, does it require commonality of father and mother without division? Or are the parents now irrelevant and soil is the only limiting factor? Or does soil not matter either and as long as you have some American blood in your veins, it's good enough ... The Framers spin in their graves. We needed this ruling seven years ago. In avoiding it's duty, the Court has encouraged this circus today. I hold the Supreme Court at fault for dereliction of duty.
