I'm going to take a drive and count all of the streets named: "Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Blvd."

Hope you are properly protected.

As comedians like to point out, we gave them the shortest month for “Black History Month”...

I am sick and tired of the worship (and that’s all this is) of a communist, wife cheating trouble maker. If he were alive today, he’d be right there next to Jessie and Rev Al.

Late in his life, King's star may have been fading. At the 1967 "National Conference on New Politics" in Chicago, he was booed by young leftists who had developed more radical tastes. But his assassination turned him into a martyr.

I was makng a sales call on a jobsite in Washington, D.C. Three separate cops came and asked the contractor for his permit because they were working on a holiday. Huh?

The US has 2 holidays marking the birthdays of individuals. They are Jesus Christ and Martin Luther King Jr. Something to think about

Pulling weeds. We had a lot of rain this winter, but it’s been warm lately, with an expected high today of 72.

Don’t want them to go to seed.

Wishing that people would heed his words, and judge people not on the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

What do you do to make it special?

I sit in a darkened room and wait for the alcohol to take effect, after which I go beat my wife, cane my children and slaughter my goats.

It is January 18th, 2016.

On January 18th, 1973, I was performing my second-tier duty, ‘riding the fence’ at U-Tapao RTNAF, Thailand, and reflecting on those brave airmen that we had lost in the 12-Day Christmas Air War.

At the time, there was no day assigned to this Negro non-hero, non-military veteran, non-statesman, maybe-preacher.

Naming the day for a Negro dead hero of the Vietnam War would have been more honorable.

Not getting mail.

Having to wait an extra day for some mail I am looking forward to...at least I won't freeze my *** walking out to the mailbox. (Colder today in east Tennessee than in soviet Red Hampshire...go figure.)

February is Black History Month and the cafeteria at the school I used to work at produced a Soul Food Friday that you had to make reservations to attend. The cafeteria was also a culinary training facility and had many black staff and students. The food was always excellent.
