Thousands Pour Into Chicago For Anti-Abortion Protest

Chicago is a bastion of liberalism, but that didn't stop thousands of pro-life marchers from descending into the city under frigid conditions to voice their support for the unborn (via Reuters):

Demonstrators held yellow balloons with "life" printed on them as organizers passed around rosary beads and others danced to music to keep warm in temperatures that hovered just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit (-18 Celsius).

"This is about the soul of our nation that we gathered here today," Archbishop Blase Cupich of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago, told a crowd that organizers said numbered about 5,000. "As we bundle up in the cold today, we want to make sure the children are also born into a world that warmly welcomes them."

Many states have imposed new restrictions on abortion in recent years, some of which have been challenged in court.

In its first abortion case since 2007, the U.S. Supreme Court is expected to rule by late June on a Texas abortion law imposing restrictions on clinics and physicians that conduct abortions, which critics say is intended to limit abortion access.

On January 22, tens of thousands will descend upon Washington D.C. for the annual March of Life.

Why was Cupich invited to a pro-life rally?

On January 22, tens of thousands will descend upon Washington D.C. for the annual March of Life.

For those of you who would like a translation from the language of the state-run media, what the writer means is that hundreds of thousands will march for life in D.C., as they do every year. Depending on the severity of the weather, it ranges anywhere from 300,000 to 600,000.

In these days of aerial photography and computer sampling, these numbers are no longer hard to ascertain. But curiously, where crowds are concerned, liberals prefer crowd-counting technology from the Royal typewriter era. In other words, making s&!# up. They are forced to do this. Otherwise an inconvenient truth could not be avoided--namely, that Leftist events are (numerically speaking), sparsely attended, and conservative ones are often mobbed.

Oh, I do remember the infuriated, screaming, screeching lib-women with signs like "Stay out of my womb!"
Absolutely DREADFUL.

The relatively FEW anti-abortionists, with the photos of aborted, that is, murdered fetuses, that is, BABIES, were excoriated.

I know that those women ADDED to the weight of the Cross (Yes, I know, He only carried the crossbar) that Jesus carried.

the infuriated, screaming, screeching lib-women

From what I've seen, it's not exactly women. There has always been a bizarrely puzzling element among abortion supporters since the first days of legalized abortion. They showed up when the cause was regarded as more respectable, and addled celebrities and middle-class businessmen and their wives turned out for abortion fund-raisers by the hundreds. Now, when even feminist organizations would rather change the subject than talk about abortion, that original, puzzling element of that movement are virtually the only people you see on the street willing to demonstrate for killing babies: Male homosexuals and lesbians.

"Excuse me," I find myself saying. "What on earth do they care?"

From a human point of view, we say to ourselves, "Talk about the one group of people who don't have a dog in this fight. Nothing they do with another human being will produce a baby!"

But maybe from another point of view, there's a big chunk of the homosexual population with a serious stake in abortion and something else--or someone else. Satan has envied and hated humanity for the fact that God loved mankind, and that He gave us the power to do what neither Satan nor those in the grip of homosexuality can achieve: to be a co-creator of life. God have mercy, Lord have mercy.

I see it differently, perhaps being a woman. I remember them. They SEEMED to be the MOST unattractive females that this planet has ever produced. But then, FEW people look attractive when they are angry. MOST people look down right ugly when they vent their fury.
The women I saw were the ugly, screaming ones.

================================

"Excuse me," I find myself saying. "What on earth do they care?"
From a human point of view, we say to ourselves, "Talk about the one group of people who don't have a dog in this fight. Nothing they do with another human being will produce a baby!"

I don't understand that last statement of yours. Perhaps you are referring to the SOUL that our good Lord instills in unborn babies.
If women have sex with men, babies CAN be produced. OR maybe my biology is a bit rusty.

But maybe from another point of view, there's a big chunk of the homosexual population with a serious stake in abortion and something else--or someone else.
I'm curious as to why "a big chuck of the homosexual population" would have a serious or ANY stake in abortion.
According to Google (which doesn't know everything) only .5 - 1.5% of the human population is homosexual...and THAT is their choice they make when they are in the early to mid teens

Satan has envied and hated humanity for the fact that God loved mankind, and that He gave us the power to do what neither Satan nor those in the grip of homosexuality can achieve: to be a co-creator of life. God have mercy, Lord have mercy.
Satan does indeed hate humanity and tries to take his revenge on God by getting us to renounce God.
Your term "in the grip of homosexuality" is so apt, so appropriate.

It IS our choice, isn't it?
