I’m just thinking back. I remember a time when the things on this thread were basically unknown to normal people. Like literally, unheard of. And I remember going several months without hearing a single new story about anything involving moslems.
Most Americans lived out their life never meeting one.... and basically seeing Omar Sharriff in Lawrence of Arabia.
It was a better time.
Your rationalizations to the contrary notwithstanding, anal copulation is a perversion and mockery of sexual intercourse, and an abuse of the body regardless of who’s doing it. I recommend directing your constant skepticism toward the sodomite propaganda flowing out of the leftist Big Media.
I'm skeptical about that "poll". I see no link is provided to check it out. A search reveals this seems to come from and "open ended survey" (whatever that is) in 2002. That's a long time ago.
Ick,,, disgusting,,, depraved. Degrading in every way. And utterly abnormal for a man and his wife to do. Basically unheard of until the homo spread it to..... apparently to YOUR generation.
I get to judge the living hell out of it. And it appears you didn’t live in Texas even a few decades ago. It was illegal as hell and you know what poofter,,, life was just fine.
As for lesbians, they do not do anal sex (unless they do it was non-bodily penetration objects); but their genital acts are perversion. They are not sexual union, because, by definition, they do not unite the sexss.
The appearance of homosexual characters on television, especially sitcoms, would make their numbers seem more like 15-20% of the population. About the same time that transition was made, humor stopped being funny, with a few exceptions, and instead elicited what laughs it could by being 'edgy' (Nervousness provokes laughter, too, just not the good kind.)
While I won't say some shows are good enough that the requisite homosexual character is tolerated (so long as that is not explicit), for the most part, any show with excess faggotry (open displays of affection) is banned from my house. The BBC got 'edgy' with ads for one show which looked like it would be an interesting concept, and we didn't so much as watch the pilot.
Another show (not sure which network) did the same, and ditto.
Perceptions are molded by such casting (which is not essential to plot development), and tolerances by desensitization to the behaviours, and the media are the vehicle by which both will arrive in your living room.
“one of the reasons for the “normalization” of homosexuality is that so many “straight” men practice the characteristic acts of homosexuals”
If as many straight men as you think participate in this, i’d suggest the opposite is true. Homos pushed their act through the schools, movies, porno, constant discussion, and mainstreamed their sick practice. Then whatever minority of men want to do it up the wazzoo started learning a new thing.
But mostly every school everywhere has been teaching it and severely punishing anyone who says “ick”.
Reason # 86 of why old guys are better fun for you ladies.
I don’t know that it’s “a lot” of straight men. Though it may me somewhat more than the ones who would admit seeking love=love with a plate of beef liver.
You know, I even seem to remember a town called Sodom. Anyone ever find out what they were doing that made god mad?
It could be that the number is exaggerated in popular media, just as the number of self-declared homosexuals is.
I just don’t know. I sure guess that’s the case. I do notice that almost every TV show has one. And its always the smartest, most secure, witty and intelligent one. Usually with high paying or high status jobs.
You’re right. The propaganda is out there. I would have to think it was only common among younger men and convicts and moslems.
Basically anyone that would degrade a woman.
My generation? I'm a baby boomer, just turned 63.
Well then ,,,, happy buggering! Oh, and just a hint, I don’t think you’d enjoy Duck Dynasty very much.
Nobody is trying to "forbid" the various permutations of sodomy, nor do any of us have the enforcement power to do so unless it involves persons who cannot give legal consent.
What I would like to firmly resist, however, is the "New Normal" strategy of teaching sodomy in school under the auspices of "Safe Sex" and "Sex Ed", mainstreaming it in entertainment, public discourse and the arts, and lying about it in the public health sector so that we may not disparage it or disccourage it as a disease vector.
Anal sex is always a bad fit physiologically, and therefore inherently violative. One of the most humane, enlightneed, and progressive things we can do about it is to stigmatize it.
So yeah, I'll argue with you about this.
It's not just "ick." It's a f***ing perversion and an intrinsic abuse.
Well ya’ll, I’m headed to another thread. Don’t want to think about this anymore before dinner.
Back in high school (late 70’s), I worked in a commercial kitchen, and we gave the gay guy (waiter) grief over going in through the out door. Which in that business, is a recipe for disaster.
Us dumb teenagers figured that was a good metaphor for fag sex as well.
Well I’d sure vote to forbid it. It was illegal in Texas until that 2003 court decision. And I don’t think it was really such a bad thing. You had more freedom there in 65 than you do today.
But anyway, like I said... enough before dinner.
Premarital sex happens. 16-year olds have sex. Oral sex happens. Anal sex happens. Burying your head in the sand and ignoring it doesn't work. Telling teenagers to not have sex doesn't work. Telling folks to not have oral sex or not have anal sex won't stop them. I sure don't want teenagers to have sex. And I personally agree with the ick factor of anal sex. However, all of those things happen. So arm people with knowledge. Tell folks why they shouldn't do these things. Stress the realities of having a baby at age 16 or coming down with genital warts. But tell them how to prevent bad things from happening when they make bad decisions!
I’m not against illegalizing all forms of objective abuse in principle, as long as there is a victim willing to bring charges and prosecute. Right now it is not on the political horizon. For my part, I think sodomy -— like abortion -— needs to be, not just illegal, but unthinkable.
And I can get a lot more graphic than that. But those disgusting acts, when presented in all their putrid splendor, should be enough to convince any sane person that homosexuality is a disease, not a mainstream alternative.
