What I would like to firmly resist, however, is the "New Normal" strategy of teaching sodomy in school under the auspices of "Safe Sex" and "Sex Ed", mainstreaming it in entertainment, public discourse and the arts, and lying about it in the public health sector so that we may not disparage it or disccourage it as a disease vector.

Premarital sex happens. 16-year olds have sex. Oral sex happens. Anal sex happens. Burying your head in the sand and ignoring it doesn't work. Telling teenagers to not have sex doesn't work. Telling folks to not have oral sex or not have anal sex won't stop them. I sure don't want teenagers to have sex. And I personally agree with the ick factor of anal sex. However, all of those things happen. So arm people with knowledge. Tell folks why they shouldn't do these things. Stress the realities of having a baby at age 16 or coming down with genital warts. But tell them how to prevent bad things from happening when they make bad decisions!

"Premarital sex happens."

This should be stigmatized.

"16-year olds have sex."

Perfectly OK if they're married.

"Oral sex happens. Anal sex happens." You mean ejaculating down somebody's throat or up their butt? Sure. And pederasty happens, Pedophilia happens, BDSM happens. They should all be stigmatized, delegitimated, ruled out of order in civilized societies, and -- where there is a victim willing to bring charges --- prosecuted.

"Burying your head in the sand and ignoring it doesn't work."

Are you really objecting to my "burying my head in the sand and ignoring it"? Or are you rather objecting to the fact that I'm NOT ignoring it. I'm fighting it with all the social and cultural resources I can command.

"Telling teenagers to not have sex doesn't work"

Sure it does. It's not just a matter of "telling them not to." It's a matter of appealing to their minds to be aware of consequences on every level: physical, social, emotional, psychological, societal, ethical, spiritual.

You can avoid reality, but you can't avoid the consequences of avoiding reality.

"Telling folks to not have oral sex or not have anal sex won't stop them."

Sure it will. All moral guidance involves telling people what they must not do, and why. It does not work perfectly--- because no law (including laws against things like embezzlement, bribery, and suborning perjury) can be enforced unless 95% of the people are in willing compliance because they know the law is right.

"I sure don't want teenagers to have sex. And I personally agree with the ick factor of anal sex. However, all of those things happen."

We know that. Labor exploitation happens. Smuggling happens. Defamation happens. Counterfeiting happens. Salmonella, Listeria and E. coli contamination happens. Faulty bridge construction happens. And so...

"So arm people with knowledge. Tell folks why they shouldn't do these things. Stress the realities of having a baby at age 16 or coming down with genital warts. But tell them how to prevent bad things from happening when they make bad decisions!"

Excuse me... with whom are you arguing here? Has anybody come out against arming people with knowledge?? Not on this forum.

"Anal sex happens. Burying your head in the sand and ignoring it doesn't work."

That's groovy, man, but anal sex is dangerous.

I'm happy that you are in favor of if it's man/woman, but don't for second try and sell me on the "it just happens" nonsense.

Bisexual men spread AIDS that way into the heterosexual population.

They didn't get it from the needle.

Gay bowel disease was around LONG before anyone even heard of HIV.

Playing around with poop, and the poop-chute just isn't healthy in any regard.

FFS, all it takes is some filthy food preparer to wipe his butt and not wash his hands and bingo, you're talking hepatitis, norovirus, you name it.

To each his own, but sell ignorance somewhere else.
