I’d argue that Joe Walsh is a better guitarist.....id add that Fry and Henley are not easy to get along with as well. But those two were clearly the core Eagles guysand Felder messed up when he tried fighting them about the pay. His anti Alan Cranston comments were in the 80s right? He was kicked out on 2000 or 2001 I believe.

Music will become sampled vocals through Autotune, synthesizer loops, and drum machines. That is, if Islam doesn’t completely eliminate music.

IMHO Walsh’s best solo was his solo on Henley’s “Dirty Laundry”. (His was the first solo, Steve Lukather had the closing solo)

Saw the Eagles many years ago. Well, actually I couldn’t really see them because our tickets were in peanut heaven, but the music was just awesome.
I’m younger than Frey and Bowie, but not by much. Their deaths remind me to take better care of myself.
Rest in peace, Mr. Frey.

There was a time when 67 seemed old to me. Now that I am 67, it seems far too young to die.
RIP......

None of those ailments should have killed him.

I was going to say he was another former hardcore cocaine addict like Bowie and that's why he is dead, but then we got this guy.........

The Eagles are lefties...but I still love their music. Sad to hear this. Yeap. The Eagles was one of my favorites especially back in their Leadon/Meisner years.

“Standing on the corner” with the “flatbed Ford” is a nice touch in that photo.
Years ago, I drove from OH to CA on a business trip via the southern route. OKC, Amarillo, Flagstaff...and Winslow, AZ.
As I approached Winslow, I needed gas and took the Winslow exit ramp during a windy, dust storm. The local radio station was playing “Take It Easy” - always had a fond memories of that song and town.

It would be a close contest between Walsh and Felder. IIRC Felder was good friends all the way back to high school days with Stills. The most versatile as far as instruments go of all the group? I’d have to say Leadon hands down.
