Cruz also highlighted TARP, the 2008 bank bailout, as well as the stimulus package passed by Congress in 2009.
"On both of those, I opposed it," Cruz stated. "On both of those, Mr. Trump supported them."
He then squared up an attack on eminent domain, suggesting Trump "supports using government power to seize private people's homes to give them to giant corporations to, say, hypothetically build a casino."

And Trump has been supporting touchback amnesty.
It’s about time.
I thought Cruz said yesterday, he wasn’t going to engage in Trump
fights.
Yet, less than 24 hours after he said that, he is starting another fight.
Lede sentence is a lie.
Smart to attack Trump on TARP. It is at the heart of the populist wave he’s been riding.
Abortion:
Trump: “I support a womanâs right to choose, but I am uncomfortable with the procedures.”
and
Trump: I believe it is a personal decision that should be left to the women and their doctors

Trump: “I’m totally pro-choice. I hate it and I hate saying it. And Iâm almost ashamed to say that Iâm pro-choice, but I am pro-choice because I think we have no choice.”

Gun Control: “I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I also support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun,” Trump wrote in his 2000 book “The America We Deserve.” (The same slow march of gun control used by Democrats. One step at a time.)

Immigration: (aka Trumpâs amnesty):
Liberal Trump: “I would get people out and then have an EXPIDITED way of getting them back into the country so they can be legal. A lot of these people are helping us and sometimes itâs jobs a citizen of the United States doesn’t want to do. I want to move âem out, and weâre going to move âem back in and let them be legal.”Â
Yep, cut in line in front of people who obey our laws.

Healthcare:
Liberal Trump: We must have universal healthcare, “I’m a conservative on most issues but a liberal on this one.”Â

Donald Trump has donated at least $100,000 to the Clinton Foundation,
Trump praises Hillary Clinton, dismisses Benghazi
Both Clintons are âterrific peopleâ.

Trump praised far-left NYC Mayor DeBlasio: â ââ¬ÅI think pretty strongly that heââ¬â¢ll end up being a good mayorââ¬Â, Trump said. ââ¬ÅMaybe a very good mayor and I donââ¬â¢t think heââ¬â¢s going to want to kill the golden goose.ââ¬Â

Trump:
Trump donated $5,000 to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and $20,000 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in the 2006 cycle, effectively buoying the election prospects of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, respectively.
Trump last donated to Schumer directly in 2010, though he had made donations ranging from $250 to $2,000 since 1996.
Mitt Romney: A well-mannered Donald Trump.
I like Trump and admire him in a lot of ways. He’s certainly been good for New York on the whole, and he’s been a boon to other communities. Not everything he has done worked (he’s declared bankruptcy more than once), but on the whole, he’s done well and helped communities.
The Wollman Rink is a fine example of what Trump can do when he wants to.
I salute Trump for these things. And it occurs to me that if he were elected, he might be the first president who wouldn’t have to build a new presidential library — he could just put it in the Trump Tower. (OTOH, with the Secret Service crawling around, it might get quite difficult to get in and out of that building.)
But Trump’s stated views on issues are mixed at best, tending to the “progressive” side on a lot of key issues. Cruz has been much more consistent in defending conservative values and principles than Trump has. And neither is afraid of a fight.
Cruz is smart. He’s not going after Donald personally, a Heb likes to do, but contrasting their views on issues while maintaining a respectful, friendly relationship, even as Trump is calling him names. That has to redound to Cruz’s benefit.
Cruz is the one candidate in either prty who worries Trump. Polls are showing that in a head-to-head match, Cruz beats Trump one on one. No other candidate would.
That’s why the Trumpkins are beating on the dead horse of this phony eligibility nonissue. It’s why they had Marco come after him and suggest that he’s not really conservative (in exchange for the VP slot?). It’s why they keep beating up on Heidi.
None of that helps Donald, but it definitely helps Ted.
Speaking to a crowd of 100....Cruz said....
“Cruz has consistently avoided attacking or questioning Trump. “
I stop reading at the first lie.
Aims directly at Trump for the 1st time? Somebody obviously hasn’t been listening to Cruz recently. He’s been spending more time on Trump than on his own positions.
Where was Trump during the 2013 immigration fight? He was writing articles for CNN calling for “leave[ing] borders behind and go for global unity when it comes to financial stability.”

Yep. Cruz is the man. Praising DT. Outlining differences. The truth with a smile.
"On both of those, I opposed it," Cruz stated. "On both of those, Mr. Trump supported them."
From where? A Texas courtroom? This is no different than Zero claiming that he 'opposed the Iraq war'. From where? The Illinois State Senate?
IF he ever gets the nomination, which he won't, but IF he did, I would not waste my vote on him....he's not an American, HE was NOT born of American soil and I am an American, Born on American Soil and have many family members that died and shared blood for the Freedoms of this Country...NO THANK YOU TEDDY BEAR BECK CRUZ!!!
Cruz: “’I will continue to sing his praises personally,’ Cruz added. “But I do think policy difference are fair game’.”
This is what each of the candidates should do. Tell us how you differ from the other candidates.
I just wish the nastiness between Trump and Cruz would stop. Cruz would be heroic if he would state he was withdrawing from the race, as continuing to run would divide the vote...maybe even cause a brokered convention. And he should throw his backing to Donald Trump, because he is the only nominee who could win it at this point, and the Repubs need to win! Trump should then magnanimously give Cruz a top position in his administration, demand the issue be settled once and for all in the courts, and then Cruz is young enough to run again down the road depending upon the decision of the courts. Cruz may also find a more sympathetic Supreme Court a few years down the road with some new appointments.
