Your liberal hero Donald Trump is for sending your tax dollars to corn farmers as is Governor Branstad. That’s why Branstad endorsed him and criticized Cruz. You’re bright enough to get that, I know you are.
Your Canada born hero is for path to legal status for illegals and wants to increase cheap H1-B visa foreign workers by 500%. That is not a true American conservative by a long shot.
You are right, governor Branstad gets money from the corn lobby. But I have lived in Iowa and have seen first hand how big corn farming is there. It is a big voting block in Iowa. And Branstad is longest serving governor in history in entire USA. It is the governor’s job to help his constituents first. His telling Iowans to defeat Cruz is a much bigger deal than the Palin endorsement of Trump.
So we have a choice...pay more for ethanol gas, or pay more to OPEC, Iran, Venezuela, Big-Oil. It all sucks.
What an idiot thing to say. Jeb is for open borders, common core, and everything Obama wants.
I don't get why anyone that wants Trump is a cultist but if you want Cruz, you're not. I'm sick to death of the nasty name calling. Both Trump and Cruz have positives and negatives. People who follow either one of them are exercising their American right to choose. Liking a candidate isn't cultist. Knock it off!
There is one more Debate on January 28th that Trump as to do as perfectly as he has the rest of them. If he does as well as others, he has this in the bag and it is over. Hard to believe that this primary may be over February 2nd in all intensive purposes.
Good. Forcing ethanol into our gasoline damages engines and wastes good farmland. It's entirely destructive.
But I still support Trump because he can beat Hillary. This is the down side of the art of the deal, sometimes you deal with some real scum. Trump wants to win Iowa to lock in the nomination as early as possible and he knows his best shot at beating Cruz in Iowa is to pander in a way Cruz, as a hardline economic conservative, can't.
Thanks for that link!
.... (Steve) King said, (Iowa Governor) Branstad sent his “son out to declare Ted Cruz to be a hypocrite, a liar and one who wants to hurt Iowa farmers in order to line his own pocket.” (Branstad’s) ....

I’ve often thought four years in uniform would have done Ted a lot of good. Would have done the rest a lot of good as well.
Good luck with defeating Ted Gov. I will be sending Ted and Free Republic money this weekend. Help out if ya can.
So the only other viable candidate for Republicans MUST be defeated??? Hillary is the one who MUST be defeated. Is it imperative that voters be swept up in the emotional Trump tidal wave instead of voting with their head? If it ends up being Trump, that’s OK but there’s a mob mentality to all this.

There is more than one way of looking at things. The following is buried in the article. But the intent of the article is what? To get EVERYONE riled so we can be manipulated.
Iowa Congressman Steve King, a Cruz endorser and strong supporter of the Renewable Fuel Standard, called the governor’s comments a “great disappointment to me.”
..............
A national co-chair for Cruz’s campaign, King said Cruz’s plan would “ratchet down” the fuel standard while opening the market to higher renewable fuel blends. It’s a move, he said, that would bring the country beyond the so-called blend wall â a threshold that occurs when the required blending volume exceeds the amount that can be added into most gasoline.
