Maybe Brandsted is going to be Trump’s endorsement.

There are no honest politicians. That is why Trump is running the table. The people are in open revolt against all politicians.

I could fill the back of a pick up with all the small engines that damn alcohol has ruined. Carbs, fuel lines, corrosion, I hate the stuff and wish whoever dreamed it up would drown in it.

The original impression Cruz conveyed was that he's against ethanol. Now it's clarified that he's against all subsidies, and he'd get rid of them "in the future" with a phase out.

It's the way Cruz does things. Gets our attention with what we want to hear, then explains what he rally meant.

Result....it works short term, but nobody is happy.

Must be pissed at the thought of losing those ethanol subsidies

I wonder if Trump (all hail!) hinted at a donation to the Governor's re-election campaign for a little boost. It is something that Donald (bless his name!) has done in the past with checks to politicians for favors in his business. Bribery is a NY value!

Cruz has no future in the senate. His gig of shutting down the gov
will get old, real quick.
And the votes he will need in the senate if he is nominated to the Supreme Court will not be there.

Maybe he can eventually get a job with Trent Lott’s lobbying firm.

The establishment had shifted to cruz thinking they could give him money. All gone now!!

Right. The establishment doesn't have to give Trump money because he's a natural big-government conservative, and the Iowa GOP-E is thrilled to support someone who is going to keep those cushy subsidies flowing.

Hell of a thing to see self-professed conservatives cheer so hard for the defeat of a conservative idea.

Before Cruz was running for president, he wrote a bill phasing out corn subsidies in five years. That was to give farmers time to adjust during that phase out five years.

Have you looked at all into propane engines or engine conversions?

The sad thing is that so many people who profess to be opposed to the elites of the Republican party are cheering this move by one of the elites to quash a conservative idea.

Somebody cue Pete Townsend -- meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Hell! I thought that bribery was a business expense in New York.Probably second only to Chicago.

This is what I mean. He wrote a bill, and you can prove he wrote the bill, so I'm misinformed. But his original campaign statements were not about a phase out, they were about ending subsidies.

As I stated earlier, we all know that something a politician promises in the future never happens.

I just saw that YouTube with Cruz's positions on Birthright Citizenship in 2011 vs what he said this summer. Who is Ted Cruz anyway?.....he can't talk back that one.

Mowers, blowers, string trimmers, vacuums, chain saws, tractors, propane is not practical. We have tried aviation fuel that does not have alky in it but at 6.00 a gallon it gets very expensive and aviation fuel has 4 times as much TEL as the engines need resulting in lead fouling of spark plugs, valves and piston build up. Smells good though when we burn it.

Some parts of the country have alky free gas for agricultural use be not here.

Racing gas is about the same price as aviation fuel. Alky gas is just nasty stuff and they want to increase it now from 10% to 15%.

Not going to hurt Cruz. Might even help. Any Iowa caucus voter who doesn’t know Cruz is against ethanol mandates has no business voting.
