Sarah Palin Endorses Donald Trump, Rallying Conservatives
NY Times ^ | January 19, 2016 | Maggie Haberman

Posted on 01/19/2016 1:35:17 PM PST by C19fan

Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice-presidential nominee who became a Tea Party sensation and a favorite of grass-roots conservatives, will endorse Donald J. Trump in Iowa on Tuesday, officials with his campaign confirmed. The endorsement provides Mr. Trump with a potentially significant boost just 13 days before the state’s caucuses.

“I’m proud to endorse Donald J. Trump for president,” Ms. Palin said in a statement provided by his campaign.

Sarah looked across liberal NYC and decided to support another RINO like McCain. She’s a disgrace.

I actually think this is what Cruz needed to put him over the top in Iowa.
Conservatives are smart and principled, two things Sarah has never been accused of being. I wonder if Trump agreed to make Bristol his chief of celibacy for the campaign at a six figure “salary”.
Any respect I once had for Palin is out the window, she is as phony as McConnell, Ryan and Boehner.

I don’t think this is hilarious. I am appalled that she would support Trump out of a TP role.

Look, she lost her 1.5 million dollar deal with Fox News, she lost her Alaska reality tv show, she is either trying to or sold her house in Phoenix(big un too) and nobody seems to want her books anymore. She had to go with the best odds for a win in 16, hoping for a cabinet position to remain in somewhat of the spotlight.

In essence, she sold out for the money.

I think she made a mistake here.

Good for Trump, I still stand with Senator Cruz. Trump is still my second choice... For now. He is headed to thin ice with the personal attacks and by veering to the left politically.

I think Cruz should be working behind the scenes for VP. That would give us 16 years in the WH, unless they muck things up.

This name calling and acting like babies by a couple has become tedious.

You would think our side would be happy we have two candidates leading who are not establishment, but instead it’s the usual name calling and now attacking Sarah because she did not endorse their guy.

One freeper just told me that they will not come out and vote in the national election if Trump gets the nomination and ten they wonder why the establishment and the left always wins.

Your last paragraph is spot on.

What is going on by some attacking the other side is being watched and will be used by the left and the establishment .
Some are so full of bitterness and hatred that they can’t see the bigger picture.

Most of the time I try and stay away from these pro or anti Cruz and Trump threads now

Who are you people?

Sarah gave McCain the only edge that he had. She gave a speech at the Republican Convention that made Dems heads explode all over the nation. She endured abuse - even including the birth of her little boy - that would have flattened the 10th fleet. She gave birth to a Down Syndrome child and dared the anti-abortionists to say anything. She put up with the monstrous Andrew Sullivan when she should have sued him for libel.

A fine woman and a good-looking woman, to boot. If she was the big “nothing-burger” you people claim she is, you would never be carrying on like this.

There is no shortage of liberals at Fort Benning believe it or not. But for Sarah Palin’s book signing the right folks came out and lined up for hundreds of yards waiting two hours to get 30 seconds with her.

That kind of draw will help with the Get Out The Vote portion of a campaign even if it does not help much with poll numbers.

Yes, and look how Bernie Sanders has been so helpful to Hillary Clinton, if she is the Dem candidate, to public proclaim that her illegal emails and her husband’s criminal sexual behavior don’t matter.

Meanwhile Cruz says Trump doesn’t have what it takes to be President, and Trump says Cruz is nasty and gets the eligibility infighting going.

I, for one, like Sarah, but am very sick of her daughter, Bristol.

Why did Bristol have to insert herself into this endorsement? She needs to stay home and raise her kids. Quit dancing, quit blogging, just concentrate on turning her life around. Oh, and return the big stack of cash she made advocating abstinence - it’s thievery as far as I’m concerned.

“Same sentiment here.
Sarah Palin was why I voted for McCain/Palin.

I would be happy with a Ted Cruz presidency.
I would be happy with a Donald Trump presidency.

The name-calling competition here on FR makes no sense to me.
Hillary C., Joe B., or Bernie S. will seek to use Republican words against us once we are truly near the election!”
