Dear Christians, If You Vote For A Godless Man, You Are Asking For Tyranny
The Blaze ^ | 1/19/2016 | Matt Walsh

Posted on 01/20/2016 4:41:42 AM PST by plewis1250

It’s very simple. If a man has no moral center, if he has ambition but no faith, if he does not demonstrate humility or integrity, I will never vote for him for president. I don’t care who he is, what he’s done, what he says, or what positions he holds. None of that will matter when we are living under his tyranny, and tyranny is sure to follow when you give unspeakable power to a man who believes he is God.

I’ll put this another way: if you vote for a man who worships himself over God, you deserve the tyranny that happens next.

You deserve it because you chose it, just as the souls in Hell deserve Hell because they chose it. If you go to the ballot box and say, “I am going to do my part to put this self-absorbed pagan in charge of my nation” you are directly consenting to the inevitable result. You are embracing it. You are literally asking for it.

I know this will not resonate with atheists, but for us God-fearing folk it is extraordinarily obvious and irrefutable that we ought to only vote for other God-fearing folk. John Adams said, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” I think it goes without saying that if the governed ought to be moral and religious, certainly the governors ought to be the same, and arguably more so.

“I would argue in the general, it is Teump who has a worse chance of winning. The polls show this by the way....”

Are you really sure about that?

Can you please get information to back up what you say. Thank-you!

What, using his own dime, are the corporal works of mercy Ted Cruz has engaged in?
Many of Trump’s have come to light.

i hate to ask what i should know, but what can a president do about abortion?

isn’t a supreme court decision pretty much written in stone unless the states override it?

i have no idea, that’s why i’m asking.

same with gay marriage.

They elected Obama and Clinton so you could say the horses have long ago left the barn on this, wouldn't you say?

And yes, it was the Christian vote that propelled both Bill Clinton and Barack Obama to four presidential election victories.

How about vs Sanders:

Cruz vs Sanders currently is the only one where Cruz loses...

Trump loses to both.

So we just throw in the towel?

Vote for someone so diametrically opposed to our belief structure just so we can “win”?

No thanks. I’m voting Cruz.

Rephrasing for realism:

Dear Christians, If Your Vote/Non-vote Helps The Election of The Most Godless Man/Woman, You Are Asking For Tyranny.

Reminder: The enemy is the anti-God left and the Dems are the embodiment of this. Do not help the enemy.

You said

we can elect godly men like Ted Cruz, *whom God can place in authority over us.*

Woops. Stinkin truth. It always sneaks out at the most inopportune times.

This article is probably the best summation I have seen regarding Donald J. Trump.

I agree. Matt Walsh is a chivalrous Catholic Christian conservative dude; here's more from his post:
Trump says he loves God but he never asks for forgiveness because he doesn't need it. When asked to clarify that bit of heresy this past weekend, he explained that he's "good" and he "lives a very good life." Then he cited his poll numbers.

His behavior doesn't appear to be any more "Christian" than his theology. We won't talk about the fact that he's a serial adulterer who abandoned his family (twice) to shack up with younger women. We won't get into how his ex-wife once alleged that he ripped out chunks of her hair and violated her. We won't delve into how the great Christian Trump sent his lawyer to intimidate and censor journalists who write about those accusations, and how his attorney recently told The Daily Beast, "I'm warning you, tread very f**king lightly, because what I'm going to do to you is going to be f**king disgusting. You understand me?" (Is that what you call "servant leadership," Mr. Falwell?)

Teddybears at the border? Who knows?

Many of Trump's have come to light.

Yes, until recently I was unaware of how much land Trump has donated to local places... all over the country.

---

My comment was directed more toward the *professional truth sayers* of the world who think themselves qualified to apply their own personal yardstick to other people.

Trump says he loves God.

Trump prayed for wisdom with Christian leaders.

Trump has vowed to defend Christianity.

Trump has decried that Obama is allowing Muslims into the country but refusing to help Christians.

His statements are true—you are supposed to “judge” according to actions, but where he goes wrong is that this is NOT a perfect world and we are TALKING about the evil government. “Truth” (some) is being proclaimed by Trump and with our PC Marxist culture-—Truth is deadly. It CAN wake up people. Trump’s fearlessness is his only virtue, probably. Hopefully, he will develop a little “fear” of God, since he is getting close to the end of his life and he has children (and grandchildren) whom he appears to love.

We are on the road to Hell right now, and a U-TURN may be “God’s Purpose” for a Trump. (Just my humble opinion). LOL God has used people ALL the time; people worse than Trump (St. Paul).

Politics is a dirty, necessary evil. Just like government. If we were all angels we wouldn’t need “government”. So, as Machiavelli knew, NO person who reaches the top positions of power were/are “angels”. Not possible because of the nature of power.

Now if there was intervention by God-—a non-perfect Christian (no other kind) COULD make it-—but, the fact is, we have an evil vile SYSTEM which is SO UNCONSTITUTIONAL (and the voting is rigged), that to BUST through this massive unconstitutional corruption is only possible with a miracle.....and Cruz will not be allowed in because he doesn’t have the “power” (money) of Trump to break the monopoly of the Bankers/elite Satanists.

We can worry about “Christian” after we bulldoze the system and put in a Constitutional government again, where local control of “education” will return some virtue and Common Sense to the useful idiots’ children, and hopefully put virtue and truth back into the culture, where our Justice system is ONLY allowed to promote “public virtue” and truth (forcing accountability in the Press and Textbooks for deliberate lies and glorifying satanism to children). We have to rid our country of the toxic, nihilism of the vile Weimar Republic or the children will end up like the Nazi SS. Virtue is learned and habituated in children. Once we have virtue instilled in the populous you could elect the *best* Christian running.

There is no Freedom without Virtue. This country has lost “virtue” (the schools intentionally destroy it in our children/and Hollywood) and it will take a generation to restore the virtue needed for a system where the cartel (satanists)l are castrated again. And our “Just Laws” have to be “Just” again——for as Cicero knew, when laws cesse to be Just, they collapse civil society and it becomes a mafia system.

“At this point the two are mutually exclusive. Either you want the constitutional conservative, or the fabulous, self-serving fascist.”

Clarification - a “constitutional conservative” who cannot win the general.

If Cruz wins the nomination, will you feel vindicated when he goes on to lose the general?

Probably. Because God. haha

Thanks for the post.

We already have someone in the People’s House who worships himself. We don’t need another.

Yet the writer forgets that the Dems are a bigger threat to both the Christians and to freedom.

So why should we support another one simply because he claims to be a Republican?
