Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump argued that “the problem with Washington, they don’t make deals, it’s all gridlock” and “I’ll get everybody together. We’ll make great deals for the country” on Wednesday’s “Fox & Friends” on the Fox News Channel.

So is this a case of a Catholic simply rejecting a Baptist? Because I was raised RC and know all too well how that one works.

Oh, Norm, get this. I was just looking at twitter...Bob Dole has come out and said we need Trump, LOL. Yes, because Cruz calls himself a conservative instead of a Republican, and isn't loyal to the party. He's an "extremist."

So will Bob Dole be the latest pivot and become a hero?

Cruz is a solid man of faith and he hasn’t debased himself nor tried to make fools of his audience by waving a Bible around on stage as a prop.

Being “Wrong” is something I ask Santa every Christmas for. Just so I could experience what it’s like because it’s been so long since that has happened regarding politics, I forgot what it’s like.

Maybe Trump bragging that “serious establishment types” are wanting to support him has something to do with it.

I worry about Trump “deals”, as do many else here. But I agree with you insofar as Trump is perhaps best positioned to apply leverage in new and effective ways to Congress, in order to get a deal on good terms. Whether he endeavors for such remains to be seen.

Well it’s a lesser evil. We gotta win. No matter what we win with.

Honestly Kat, I think it should be obvious. When an anti establishment candidate gets the full support of the establishment, well, CLEARLY the establishment is ready to drop everything and make a 180 degree turn on everything they are about because they want to make America great.

And if you don’t support the establishment choice you hate America and love Obama. Because only by reaching across the aisle to the establishment can we not be the establishment and stuff.
