Deny.

Classification levels are based upon the level of damage caused to the US and her interests, should the information be compromised.

So there are actual terms like “top secret?” I knew about NORORN, but never saw anything not just marked “secret/classified.”

+1. I had a NATO Cosmic security clearance when I was in Germany, and reverted back to Secret when I departed. Although I was Army, I was on an AF base those four years. During certain situations, I'd be tasked to be a Liasion Officer to the Wing Commander.

Truthfully, I don't recall ever seeing any TS documents.

During one exercise, I was briefing the WC on our positions around the base. The evaluators dropped an NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical warfare) input on us, and his expert overreacted. It was right in my wheelhouse, as I was my unit's NBC officer. I spoke up, made the right recommendation, WC agreed with me, as did the evaluators.

For the duration of his command, I was called whenever there was an NBC input.
