Very good post. We keep waiting for Conservative agenda to be legislated and all we get is ‘compromise’ meaning we didn’t give the ‘Progressives’ the farm yet.
I have to admit, it takes time to get your people in leadership positions. Electing a big class of conservative freshmen is what it is. More patience is going to be required to reform the congress.
Yet on the very same day, Trump is trumpeting crony capitalism by wanting to expand the ethanol mandate... The very definition of crony capitalism. Why, because he calculates he’ll get more votes... Not because it is the right thing to do - because it clearly isn’t.
So I guess the idea is the ends justify the means. A little crony capitalism here or there is required to stop the really big crony capitalism elsewhere...

Trump has backed Obamacare, tariffs, abortion, eminent domain for corporate land use, and has recently backed our current ethanol requirements.
We can’t call Trump a sellout though because he has always been a big govt liberal.
I have no idea. IMO, it isn’t in the best interests of the country but time will tell. Trump can be persuaded to change his mind and has no problem doing so when shown the errors of his thinking.
They will treat Cruz exactly as they're treating Palin now. Badly.
Wonder if Trump stood near her just in case she needed help with her composure because of her son’s problem which she just found out about?
Palin gave lots of reasons for her endorsement for Trump and her top one was, Trump will destroy the corrupt establishment GOPee that has fought against conservatives every way they could.
