What took them so long to notice? They have several things in common, the most prominent being their ability to convince their loyalists they are whatever they want them to be. And the same temperament - ridiculing and bully all who oppose them. To Bambi’s credit I never heard him swear during a stump speech.

Just see the top headline above the photo on DRUDGE today. Globalists in Davos shaking in their boots that Trump is going to put an end to their sucking American blood.

Obama is so popular, isn’t it wonderful?

Trump is so popular, what is wrong with people?

Trump said he was going to “take care us.” That appeals to many.

A few of Trump’s fans here in FR have openly stated they’re OK with a dictatorial, Trump-led government. Apparently, the idea of a jackboot on their neck comforts them.

Complete total hysteric BS from your typical Establishment tool.

People see Trump as a liberator. Liberating them from the DC Business/Political/Media master class who does nothing but mock and deride their very real economic and security concerns.

"..respectful or independent; obedient or self-reliant; well-behaved or considerate; and well-mannered or curious,"

Picking the first makes you authoritarian? These are not mutually exclusive things so the choices are false. I want my kids to be BOTH of each pair of all of these attributes. It's called Balanced. Respect others rights and the law but be independent and self-reliant.

Well we need a Napoleon to cut the head off the collectivist/Moslem beast. But, alas, if you vote in Napoleon you just might find you have Napoleon.

MacWilliams writes that "a single statistically significant variable predicts whether a voter supports Trump -- and it's not race, income or education levels: It's authoritarianism."

Zero has made fascists out of conservatives, begging for "freedom."

Hint: one never asks a king for freedom. Wherever there is "noblesse oblige," there is always "droit du seigneur."

Strong does not necessarily mean authoritarian. The word Leader assumes strength.

It's his “Nationalism” that appeals to people, (or Patriotism if it makes you more comfortable), not authoritarianism. His message is simple; as President, he will put America first.

Obviously this message scares the bejezus out of Washington and the MSM. These people seem to have a vested interest in the destruction of this country.

Liberals are so confused. They can’t imagine why people who believe in God also believe that there can be authority in His teachings, and those teachings should be reflected in the way to raise their children. Liberals are so open-minded, their brains fall out. They cherry-pick a word or phrase here and there, and brandish it as a new discovery of truth! While ignoring — or denouncing — the canon of truth in the history of Western Civilization.

Looks like they're trying to resuscitate that "authoritarian personality" junk science again. Look that phrase up on Wikipedia; too much material to repeat here. In summary, though, a bunch of left-wingers developed a "test" that they claimed could detect the kind of "personality" that would either welcome, or could become, a dictator like Hitler or Mussolini (somehow Stalin didn't fit their prescription, though).

The liberal media will probably be running with this notion now that someone has brought it up.
