I think this was posted yesterday.
Trump is right. The trade deficit is real.
The total output of manufacturing in an ever-populous world is not as relevant as the percentage share of total manufacturing in the world.
Why is this so hard to figure out for some?
These experts would tell you it was raining while urinating on your shoes. We need real domestic economic growth not theories from the 1700’s.
They are both right.
I haven't heard a factory whistle since the 70's
Coal mines are dead and dieing
And a few other et cetera's
When I saw the comment about robotics, my plebian brain envisioned only the automotive industry
So I went to the article to read it and I came away with a lot of "explanation" about what's wrong with Trump
I conclude this is nothing more than a hit piece against a man that probably knows what I know .... my local WalMart has a bank of 16 registers I've never seen completely worked ... and the aisles are a LOT wider now that there is less product
I'm just a guy that sees stuff.
I think our trade relations with China, and with everybody else, should be guided solely by what is best for America, and for the American people.
Having said that, if you want more manufacturing in America, the main problem isn’t China, or any other competitor. The real problem is over-regulation, over-taxation, and our form of taxation. Get the grubby mitts of government off of business, and we will out-compete and out-produce anyone on the planet.
Fine, everyone show your business degrees. Never mind, one of the koolaid’s side effects is unwillingness to objectively look at anyone’s positions but the guy who poured it.
He who spends most of his time other than declaring how wonderful he - attempts to destroy all who dare disagree. That is 95% of donnie - he is really a low info candidate faking his way.
So, I take it the Author has made more international deals, has made more money, has created more jobs than the man he claims is dead wrong about these things?
I call BS!
Yep.
We’re sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooomuch better off now.
I trust Trump's judgement before the Federalist or about any of the economics "cabals"...
The issue is equitable trade.
We allow China to tax, limit, and abuse intellectual property rights for American goods. From the Chinese side, their trade surplus with us in intentional, and in their mind good. Of course it is, they aren’t winning on the field of commerce.
How do we fix this?
We don’t threaten draconian or punitive tariffs, but we do say fair is fair. We have to be willing to treat their products, services, and companies the same way they treat us. The desired result is, of course, that they act more like us, mitigating or eliminating the need for us to act like them. However, if we don’t have a leader willing to actually act on such concepts, the threats are hollow, weak, and ineffective. We need to bargain from strength. Go to the matts.
How many FACTORIES have closed and/or moved? Whether populated by robots or not.
What we see with our own eyes is not true?
