That is a serious concern of mine. I always thought the people here were extremely conservative and smart politically.
Not to criticize (big lie) but too many of Trump supporters’ posts fail to reflect much discernment or intelligence... too many mindless rants and kneejerk insults.
Some of us "not so intelligent" folks with our Masters degrees are somewhat worried about the forthcoming election in Nov. Yes, Trump has created a "movement" that resembles obambi's and yes he is a blowhard. But you know what, I don't care. He has two qualities that speak for him: He loves America and he can win the general election. That's it. Not a one of the other candidates has a snowball's chance in the general. Trump's self-financing is the brass ring. What he would or would not do as president would be easier to handle than more of the socialist agenda. That's why I have studied the situation with my limited "intellect" and prayed for wisdom to make the right choice to turn things around before it's too late.
The cult of personality element has become eerily similar to 2008. There wasn’t a whole of discernment happening then, either. It was pure emotion, as it is now.
