Looks like some more Trump smarts....using multiple sources of funding.

The Greek shipowners do the same...and create each vessel as a separate entity....so a loss of one doesn't affect the entire business.

Could be Trump does the same for his world wide holdings of buildings / golf courses / wineries.

You're owned by every candidate except Trump.

I think there are a LOT of people paying more attention to what's being said than what actions are being done.

That graphic is a perfect case in point. (and I'll probably swipe it, BTW :-)

So, Trump has a relationship with Goldman....A-ok. Cruz has one, and he’s completely compromised. Over a loan. A loan that’s paid back with interest. That’s a business transaction by the bank for profit in the same vain as a real estate loan. The only difference is the collateral. The collateral in one is a physical asset. In the other, it’s a fundraising effort that was rolling in cash. Both are based on likeliness to pay back.

Actually, Red state misses the point entirely. They can be forgiven, as it is hard to relate to the level of finance and banking that Trump is doing. If anything Donald owns them, not the other way around. Banks depend upon loaning out money on this scale to continue financing their operations. The occasional write-off or bankruptcy is simply a cost of doing business.

They need Trump, far more than he needs any single loan source. Banks all over the world compete to make loans to him. Definitely no smoking gun here. Red State needs to do their homework.

That’s the thing I have never understood about the Trumpsters agrument here. They claim that Ted is beholden to Goldman Sachs. So, if Ted doesn’t abandon his values and do as Goldman instructs him to....what? They won’t contribute to his next election? They have given him a total of like $70K. He will survive without Goldman money. They fire his wife? She is a well respected executive and possible first lady. I am sure she will be able to find other work.

If Trump doesn’t abandon his values and do what Goldman instructs him to do, they could call in their debts. They could refuse to extend credit or modify future terms. They could tank future projects worth millions. They could ultimately cost him billions of dollars.

They could do vastly more damage to Trump than they could to Cruz.

How will we ever circle back the wagon after this election year? If a dim wins we have only to thank ourselves. Why are we destroying each other? We have two great candidates. Let’s please stop this crap . It’s maddening. The dims are winning as we keep this up. I wish Trump and Cruz would team up at this point and put it this to bed and go win this damned election. I’m pissed.

From the tenor of all the posts, it looks as though you “stepped in it” big time! Comparing apples to oranges will never fly here! No cigar for you on this one!

Epic fail! Construction loans are not personal lines of credit for a political campaign. LOL!

You’re right of course. It’s utterly amazing, astounding really, to think that one of the most successful real estate developers in the world would be borrowing money from banks. Who ever heard of such a thing??

I think true conservatives have had a problem supporting/defending the Republican Party these past few election cycles. They haven’t seen one of their own at the top of the ticket for quite some time. Like it or not, they don’t see that in Trump. They may see someone who is anti-establishment, but they don’t view him as conservative.

To call conservatives RINO’s may just be the most profound thing I’ve read in all these Trump/Cruz threads yet. True conservatives haven’t had significant representation from the Republican Party in years—we’ve been fooling ourselves. The Republicans don’t want either Trump or Cruz (Cruz even less so), but they ARE willing to believe (at this point), that Trump is the lesser of two evils (something they’ve been forcing down conservatives’ throats for some time.

So, yes, call me RINO...if that’s what helps you to understand where I stand...and I’ll call you Republican, and I’ll know where you’re coming from.

... ALSO Cruz does better in larger samples, the CNN poll that has Trump up by 10 whatever they only ask 266 I believe.
The poll that showed DT up by 11% had margin of error of 6%. Poll from the day before showed Cruz leading by 2.
In every single poll with internals I have looked at Cruz has the best favorables and the best unfavorables.
In a recent NH poll 30% said they would never vote Trump. Only 4% said they would never vote Cruz. And a week or so ago on head to head Cruz beat DT by 8 points.
Trump lies about Cruz everyday. He also continues his intimidation routine, and he is better at it than Bambi.
I find DT’s lack of manners and winning through intimidation repulsive. Hardcore freepers cheer it.
But the blind trust with no basis is mind blowing. “because he said so”.

This is like saying that someone who made a fortune with a trucking company is in bed with the oil cartel because he buys lots of fuel for his business. Mortgages are products that many of use in the course of our activities.

Trump probably buys lots of steel and concrete too... is that horrible as well?
