Looking at the radar, I think we're past the worst of this storm. Also, it looks as though the most intense part of the storm is tracking about 100 miles east of us - right up the coast. Look for substantial beach erosion from the Carolinas to Jersey.
We have about a foot right now - John Man is out shoveling - there's enough down that we thought it would be a good idea to take care of what we have tonight rather than having to dig ourselves out of the whole nine yards tomorrow.

I was just checking some of the Outer Banks web cams a few minutes ago and the surf looks pretty rough. You could be correct about erosion along the NC coast.
Good idea for John Man to shovel a bit tonight. A foot of snow is PLENTY to deal with. Hope there isn’t another foot by morning!

Back when I still shoveled, I always took that road...shovel while it was still coming down to avoid so much I couldn’t shovel at all later.
WTG, John Man! Stay ahead of the snow. Lift with your knees. d:o)
Fatima thought they might be getting bashed in Jersey. They are ready.
