The Olympics are reportedly adopting a new policy that opens the field of competition to transgender athletes.
The International Olympic Committee received proposed guidelines in November from its 'Consensus Meeting on Sex Reassignment and Hyperandrogenism', which allow for broader policies that would include transgender athletes.
Olympic officials have not confirmed the new guidelines, which have already been adopted by other regulatory sports organizations, but the policy is available on the organization's website.
The policy change would be in line with NCAA standards in the United States, which allow male-to-female and female-to-male transgender athletes to compete without having gender reassignment surgery, according to ESPN.

what an absolutely moronic world we’re living in now- Just like the UFC allowing a transgender male to fight women- He’s much stronger than they are, and yet apparently that doesn’t matter and the only thing that matters is that the UFC be ‘politically correct’
Now we’re gonna have men competing against women in the Olympics? Apparently these ‘men’ aren’t good enough to compete against other men, so they have to compete against women in certain sports where they will dominate?

True. While I didn’t see the tournament in question, a woman who was/is a veteran fencer at my son’s fencing academy was a competitor against one of these men-who-are-pretending-to-be-women. She said the guy was 6’4”, and built like Joe Collosus. But he had long hair and fake boobs, so he competed against the real women, ALL of whom were nationally-ranked. The real gals didn’t stand a chance. He wiped the floor with them, won the tourney, and got a national rank his first time out.
This was...oh...5 or 6 years ago, and it caused quite the stir. But there was nothing the women could do because the national association had already decided to adopt the INTERNATIONAL rules, and they’d gone over to the tranny side.
I predict doom for women’s sports — especially the individual ones like fencing, swimming, etc. Maybe not gymnastics because the best gymnasts are small rather than large.
