An upstate New York village has decided to change its official logo Friday weeks after residents decided to keep it despite critics calling it a racist emblem.
Whitesboroâs logo appears to show a white man choking a Native American. A non-binding vote earlier this month saw residents vote 157-55 to not change the current seal. A timetable for a new seal has not been determined.
Village officials and members of the nearby Oneida Indian Nation will meet to discuss the creation of a new image, Mayor Patrick OâConnor said

Sort of gives ‘life’ to the old statement
If voting REALLY mattered, ‘they’ wouldn’t allow us to do it.
Be it right, wrong or indifferent, when close to 2 of 3 people vote YES and a single judge or 3 person council overrides it, why did ‘they’ waste the time and money to vote on it?
Saw an artice in WashPost today about some woman proclaiming she is a successful lawyer because she had an abortion.
My answer is -
Too bad your mother didn’t have the same ‘moral’ outlook you do.
And I do think an abortion is the business of the person involved - Not that I ‘approve’ just that it is not my business....
but like a pundit once wrote
If having an abortion is a ‘right’ because it is the womans body and what she does with it is HER business, why aren’t the women clamoring for legalized prostitution?
After all, it is the womans body and she should be allowed to do what she wants with it, be it kill an unborn child, dye her hair or sell / rent herself out to the highest bidder?
Bad marketing. Put out a press release saying the image is of two homos getting ready to “merge” their different cultures and it’ll win awards for promoting diversity. (it does look like they’re hugging.)
Isn’t there real problem the name of the town? Shouldn’t it be Rainbowboro?
I was waiting for that. Whitesboro? Isn’t that racist? Of course not. Still, it may be only a matter of time.
Yup, looks like foreplay to me. </s
