Creating a problem where none exists is a major tenet of liberism.
Not the rough-and-tumble Oklahoma of yesteryear...lib demos are an unstopable infestation of America...
In OK?
I would say he is seeking to be removed from office LOL
Wishing and hoping and writing will not change the laws. The conservatives need to stand up and replace every gun grabbing democrat and rino politician in Oklahoma and in America.
Every government entity - local, state, and federal need a good Roto-Rooting to get rid of the people who can’t read the US Constitution, are too stupid to ubnderstand it, just flat don’t care to respect it, and/or refuse to keep their oaths of office to enforce it.
They are clogging up the pipes!
Real Americans have to either take over the Chamber of Commerce or shut it down. Far too many initiatives by Chambers of Commerce are anti-freedom. I’m a big fan of capitalism, but only honest capitalism. Profiting off illegals or by making deals to oppose guns in return for payoffs is not capitalism. If this continues I will put members of the local Chamber of Commerce on the same list as beneficiaries of TARP and the corrupt Bailout of GM, and I will boycott those companies forever.

So... The Chamber wants to force folks to buy their guns at brick and mortar stores rather than gun shows.
Who’d have thought!
The Chamber of Commerce has morphed from a pro-small-business organization into a communist front group.
Since when did the Chamber of Commerce become an elected entity with bill writing powers?
The Tulsa Gun Show is one of the largest and best-attended gun shows in America. The economic impact of a statewide ban on gun shows in Oklahoma would be HUGE!
You can’t get a hotel room for miles around during Tulsa Gun Show weekends.
These idiots don’t know what they’re doing or who they’re messing with.
Good Luck, Chamber - it won’t happen! We Okies love our guns...and our Religion
We even have some Republican senators who are squishy on this subject. Thankfully, one of the biggest offenders is at the end of his term limit this year.
Wishing and hoping, no. Writing by itself, maybe not. But real grass-roots organization of concerned citizens contacting - writing, calling, personal visits - and working with our legislators can! I know, because I have seen it happen. OK2A (Oklahoma Second Amendment Association) has actually been pretty effective in this.
Disclaimer: I'm a member of the local county chapter, and we are recognized as being a viable local political force. We do get listened to, but we do not get everything we want.
I wholeheartedly agree! In fact, I'd like to see a law wherein legislators and other public servants can be indicted and charged with violation of their oaths of office. There already exist laws that provide penalties for violation of civil rights under color of authority. How can we use those to turn the tables on these traitors?
Biggest gun show in America is the WANENMACHER show twice a year in TULSA!
Several smaller shows during the year. Now I think of it, I’ve been to more gun shows in Oklahoma in the last 46 years than anywhere else!
It seems to me to be more than that, at least here in OK. I've seen them lobby against more than one pro-gun-owners'-rights bill. They seem to be fearful that recognizing and protecting the rights of law abiding gun owners will somehow be bad for business, yet I have not seen them present any data to support their position. I suspect petty tyrants like Bloomberg are behind some of this.
Furthermore, as another poster stated, the big gun shows in Tulsa attract a LOT of local and out-of-state people and dealers, and fill up hotel rooms all over the city. They eat at our restaurants, buy our gasoline and otherwise contribute a LOT of money to our economy, yet that never seems to be acknowledged by the CoC. I wonder why?
OKC gun laws always were strange. Back in the olden days OKC required anyone buying a handgun to go down to the court house and get fingerprinted. I missed out on a good new Colt Peacemaker back in 1970 because of that.
Tulsa allowed you to be fingerprinted at the gun store, so I bought my handguns there.
After years of fingerprinting, it was found that it served no crime control purpose the fingerprinting laws were done away with.
