Oh yeah.
There is a whole subculture of “cat people” who choose to “have cats” instead of children. They dress up their cats in little outfits, push them around in baby strollers, obsessively photograph every “facial expression” to post on their internet blogs and FB. They throw birthday parties, and even rent convention halls for “CatCon” meetups, where the “humoms” dress themselves up in cat costumes to look like their “children.”
“Catmoms” and “ catdaddies” bring their kitties together at one another’s houses for play dates.
They’ll spend thousands of dollars on veterinary bills to keep their aging, sick cats alive, or alternately, for cat funerals, burials or cremations—all chronicled in detail on the internet, to share the grief and be comforted—while insisting with a straight face that children are too expensive and inconvenient, and thank goodness for abortion!
Just to be clear—I do love cats, have almost always had one or two.
But when my first child was born, and JealousCat pooped once in baby’s crib, JCat was promptly dispatched to a new owner.

GOD bless America!
OUCH!
Churchill was awesome, even though he was in the Liberal party for a while before returning to the good guys. Bring that bust of him back to the White House.
Never heard of this Valerie Tarico, but I can see that she is one evil female
I would wager that the average Facebook female would findd her quite reasonable...

You write an entire post ridiuling people who anthropomorphize their cats, yet you impute jealousy in a cat who responds to the call of nature, and pack the animal off to an uncertain fate...
You are aware that cats do not have the emotional capacity to understand and act on the complex human conceit of jealousy, are you not...?
That is the grim reality of it; it is very sad to watch.
Isaiah 5:20
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Children should take priority over animals, was all I meant. Sheesh.
No need for your hostility.
I am well aware that cats do not feel emotions and are not like people. That was the entire point of my comment about the cat culture people.
My calling it “JealousCat” was merely a figure of speech, and a shortcut to my point. Actually his name was Boo.
Animals DO compete with other animals—for food, safety, territory, etc. and they mark their territory by spraying or pooping. And cats are by nature predatory. When a cat that has stayed on the floor for years suddenly begins jumping into new baby’s crib and defecating there to establish territory, that’s unsafe and unhygienic for baby.
Cat threatened baby, cat had to go.
And there was nothing “uncertain” about the cat’s future. It was placed in a fine home with a friend.
BTW, cats don’t worry about their futures.
Why should they?
If the first goes badly; they have eight more!
Churchill was an amazing man.
England could use more like him, and less of what they have now.
MUCH less.
Churchill = prepped irma.
