Trump has attacked Cruz for failing to capitulate to Hastert & McConnell on the budget surrenders. (1) Promised he’ll “get stuff done” by cutting deals with Democrats. (2) Refused to support any ban on abortions when asked by a reporter which abortions he’d ban, in line with this pro-choice history. (3) Flip-flopped on amnesty, and now promises a touch-back amnesty. (4) Vows to replace Obamacare... with Obamacare? (5)

RUSH LIMBAUGH (HOST): My questioning here about the way Trump has gone after Cruz here, calling him a maniac, refusing to work with people in the Senate. The reason I’m focusing on that, folks, because that’s so unlike Trump. I mean, that’s a huge mistake. But on paper it’s a huge mistake. Trump gets away with his mistakes. Such is the bond of loyalty that his support base has for him that he gets away with them. And I don’t think he’s made that many. Don’t misunderstand. But for any of you who are holding out hope that Trump is a genuine conservative. A genuine conservative, even in the Republican field, would not go after Cruz this way. (4) As quoted in Newsweek, Eric Trump: “The point isn’t just deporting them, it’s deporting them and letting them back in legally. He’s been so clear about that and I know the liberal media wants to misconstrue it, but it’s deporting them and letting them back legally.”
Donald Trump: I would get people out and then have an expedited way of getting them back into the country so they can be legal…. A lot of these people are helping us … and sometimes it’s jobs a citizen of the United States doesn’t want to do. I want to move ’em out, and we’re going to move ’em back in and let them be legal.
(5) This all sounds exactly like candidate Obama:
Scott Pelley: The uninsured person is going to be taken care of. How? How?
Donald Trump: They’re going to be taken care of. I would make a deal with existing hospitals to take care of people. And, you know what, if this is probably–
Scott Pelley: Make a deal? Who pays for it?
Donald Trump: —the government’s gonna pay for it.
But we’re going to save so much money on the other side. But for the most it’s going to be a private plan and people are going to be able to go out and negotiate great plans with lots of different competition with lots of competitors with great companies and they can have their doctors, they can have plans, they can have everything.
