I could swear we are electing a President, not a Pastor? Silly me.

I’m a Christian. Not the most pius or sin free. But I would be happy with a constitution following president of any true religion. (Muslim is not a true religion)

I admire Donald Trump; I'm posted great pictures of Trump at Free Republic.
Nevertheless, unless I was an atheist, I would find Donald Trump's statement that he "doesn't often ask God for forgiveness" ...
just a little unnerving.
As an evangelical Christian Tea Party patriot (Free Republic member since 1998) ...
it's quite frankly a game changer ... against Donald Trump as POTUS ... an man who claims to RARELY EVER ask God for forgiveness.
Donald Trump (as VP) can still be the architect and builder of "The Wall" ...
and maker of all the GREAT deals ...
but NOT with his finger on the U.S Nuclear Deterrent Trigger ...
or selecting life-long candidates for the U.S. Supreme Court.
The ONLY people in history who claimed they didn't need God's forgiveness (even occasionally) are the types that include Obama, Hitler, Mohammed (swine piss be upon him), Stalin and Nero ... and Donald Trump ???
Hopefully, if Donald Trump EVER places his hand on the Trump Family Bible, and takes the Presidential Oath of office ...
he'll have the COURAGE to ask God Almighty for forgivness.
That's my logic (as a Senior Aerospace Mechanical Engineer --- www.Engineering-Excellence.US) ...
and I'm DAMNED WELL gonna stick with it.
Zero exceptions.
