Donald Trump said Monday that he is not intimidated by the nation's power brokers and their attempts to halt his GOP presidential campaign.
"The establishment, the media, the special interests, the lobbyists, the donors - they're all against me," he said in a new online ad.
"They are really trying to stop me," the Republican presidential front-runner continued. "Everybody knows it, everybody sees it. We're going to win. We're going to win it for the people. We're going to win it for the country. We're going to make America great again."
Trump then reiterated that he is free from the corrupting influence of campaign donations and wealthy patrons.
"I'm self-funding my campaign," the outspoken billionaire said. "I don't owe anybody anything. I only owe it to the American people to do a great job."
The Trump campaign's latest ad comes less than a week before Iowa's critical early-voting caucuses, on Feb. 1. The Hawkeye State marks the first test of Trump's legitimacy as a White House hopeful.
Trump snuck past Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) in polls released Sunday, edging past his main rival for the GOP nomination. He emerged with an 11-point lead in a new Fox News poll and a 5-point lead over the freshman senator in the latest CBS News Battleground Tracker survey.
Trump has upended the Republican race by drowning out other contenders since formally launching his campaign last summer. The real estate tycoon has attracted media attention for his bombastic rhetoric and his personal celebrity.
He leads the field by nearly 16 points nationwide, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average of polls.

Come on, get real. Yes they attacked Trump in the beginning but public enemy number 1 for the GOPe and media is Ted Cruz.

If Trump was a Dim he would be running in the Dim primary .. Cruz would lose the general election guaranteed . Cruz is a regional candidate , outside of the South , Cruz is extremely weak .
Cruz is certainly more hated by the GOPe than Trump, but right now, I do believe that they want Cruz to win Iowa because there’s no other way to stop Trump. It’s pretty obvious that if Trump wins Iowa, it’s over. He’ll run the tables from there. But if Cruz wins Iowa, then Trump can be taken down, and once that happens, Cruz will be buried outside the South. That leaves the nomination wide open for one of the establishment lane candidates.

Trump is just Public Enemy 2.
At one time I thought the GOPe might throw in with Cruz. He’s in the Party, and he could agree to give them the usual non-ideological ‘stuff’ that Trump might not.
But the damage his ‘social conservatism’ might so to the down-ticket RINOs election chances made them hold their nose and choose Trump in the end.
They do anything for their RINOs.
