Seems like he’s already won the base.
.@bobvanderplaats begged me to do an event while asking organizers for $100,000 for himself—a bad guy!
Why doesn’t phony @bobvanderplaats tell his followers all the times he asked for him and his family to stay at my hotels-didn’t like paying
“It’s Donald Trump exposed: He wants to be your friend when he thinks he can get something in return for that friendship,” Vander Plaats said Tuesday
He couldn’t buy this guy. He mistook him for a whore, and now he feels cheated.
no, he was right. he could shoot someone on fight avenue, with my luck it would probably be me, and his base wouldn’t care.
Cruz was pretty classy when Palin endorsed Trump
wait, i’ll beat you to it!!
we dont need class!!!! we need vulgar, insulting, mean, yeah, mean!!! :)
like we’re voting for Joe Green :)
maybe trump will throw someone a towel.
Trump can't just say he's "disappointed." No.. he goes on a personal attack. Typical.
Keep it up, Trump. It's a long electoral season... this sh*t will catch up to you.
Ted's way will be Reagan's way. He will go over the heads of the congressmen and make his case to the American people, applying pressure from below.
Cruz is capable of this. Trump isn't.
Somebody asked Donald Trump for money? Can’t be very bright. Only suckers give money. The Donald doesn’t give money. He buys people.
Not so fast, it seems this guy has a habit of asking for money for his endorsement, maybe Trump told him to take a hike.
He’s a looooong way from being presidential.
It seems to me that those that worship at the altar of Trump are obsessed with materialism; there are, believe it or not, things more important than MATERIALISM.
WaPo behind paywall now?
Great strategy to win over the base, Donald...Insult the clergy!

Trump didn’t ask for and doesn’t need your advice.
The great divider. Makes Bambi look like a rank amateur.
Plaats is an American politician, hardly a preacher. You trying to say Plaats is like Falwel? What a joke, what a stretch.
In 2002, Vander Plaats unsuccessfully ran for the Iowa GOP gubernatorial nomination, losing to Doug Gross. Then Vander Plaats was a candidate for the 2006 Iowa Republican gubernatorial nomination, and had to drop out because he can’t get support or run a campaign properly. He can’t rause money, either.
In the Republican primary on June 8, 2010, Vander Plaats lost to Branstad, he lost by 10 points. This politician can’t win in Iowa.
You’re trying to say this loser politician is a preacher or something. He is as much a preacher as I am. He is a politician first. Period.
And not a very good one. He deserves to be insulted for playing the freebie game politicians do, he isn’t being insulted for being Christian. Some of you Cruz supporters are real laughs, you think a lame claim like this is going tu win Iowa for Cruz? That Trump insults “Christians”.
Get lost. In fact this politician who can’t win maybe says Ted can’t either.
Liberty University president Jerry Falwell Jr., actually IS a preacher, not a politician like Plaats. I think sume of you Cruz supporters are insultung great Christians like Falwell, Jr.
Given that the only time I ever recall seeing his name is in regards to his influence on elections by way of endorsements, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he was profiting from those endorsements.
I am so tired of him calling people losers, bad, ugly, nasty. It starts to seem that from his point of view there are only HORRIBLE people who disagree with him and WONDERFUL people who agree with him, but no room for just people who are neither awful nor wonderful, just don’t agree with him. Who goes around calling so many people names like we are in fourth grade? He needs to stop saying people are terrible and losers and idiots. At some point it loses its punch.
Cruz is TELLING preachers in Iowa to break the law and demand their flock support him. This is how little Cruz thinks of Christianity and freedom!

Ted Cruz Wants Iowa Pastors To Violate Separation of Church and State
David Brody from CBN is reporting that Ted Cruz has asked Iowa pastors to violate the separation of church and state clause that allows them to have tax exempt status. He wants them to specifically tell their congregations that they have to caucus with Cruz.
For years we’ve heard how pastors can’t endorse candidates. And that the IRS will show up and revoke the church’s 501c3 tax exempt status. Ted Cruz has decided to say screw it once again when it comes to a law that gets in his way.
Brody reports “For Cruz, it’s pretty simple. He wins Iowa if evangelical pastors get behind him AND make sure the bulk of their congregations are caucusing on Monday night”.
So are pastors supposed to strong arm their congregations? Are they supposed to sit next to them and fill out their caucus form with them? By making this plea, Cruz has invited the IRS to these churches. And pastors and their flocks will pay a heavy price if this tactic initiates a full blown investigation.
But this is the Cruz strategy. Slash and burn. So what if a bunch of Iowa pastors lose their tax exempt status? As long as they force their flocks to “do the right thing”.
Ted Cruz has decided to use his faith as a campaign weapon. And there’s no way that God could endorse this behavior. Usually, I’m not fan of the IRS when it comes to this. But in this case, I say unleash the dogs of hell on these churches.
I would be equally outraged if any of the other candidates pulled this stunt. This will be the fourth law that Ted Cruz has broken. Failure to disclose large campaign loans. Taking laundered cash from corrupt donors. And he’s running for president as a foreign born naturalized citizen.
For Ted Cruz, this establishes a pattern that is more in line with democrat politicians. Ted Cruz calls himself the consistent conservative. But he’s only been consistent in trying to find ways around the law. Sounds like a slick lawyer to me.

Not going to win over those Concerned Conservatives.
A lesson that someone his age should know. Never accept gifts from people looking for something in return, never. It looks bad and feels bad, no matter how you decide.
In fact, never accept gifts from people who do not consider you their equal, and Trump considers no one his equal.
In this case, the cost of hotel rooms, etc. were inconsequential to Trump, but something he could lord over the recipient if he didn’t get his way.
