HOUSTON, Texas - Today, the Cruz for President campaign announced the endorsement of Dana Loesch. Loesch is an author, radio and TV host and a leading conservative voice across the country. She hosts her award-winning, nationally syndicated daily radio show, The Dana Show: The Conservative Alternative and also hosts Dana on The Blaze television network.

"Dana is a fearless conservative who is not afraid to confront the liberal media bias head on," said Cruz. "She is a passionate fighter for liberty and an important voice for conservatives. I am thrilled to have Dana on our team and work together to win the White House in 2016."

Loesch co-founded the Tea Party movement in St. Louis and speaks regularly on the subject of new media, gun control, anti-feminism, and grassroots. She was one of the original Breitbart editors selected by her late friend and mentor, Andrew Breitbart. She appears regularly on Fox News, ABC, CBS, and CNN. Loesch has continually and relentlessly fought for conservative principles, specifically our second amendment right to keep and bear arms, stopping Obama's lawless executive orders, defunding Obamacare and protecting our Constitutional liberties.

“I have said that I will pull for the most consistent conservative in the race," said Loesch. "As one of the original founders of the modern-day Tea Party movement, I watched grassroots conservatives support Ted Cruz's David and Goliath success against Dewhurst and the Republican establishment. Cruz has fought to repeal Obamacare, shrink the size of government; he has defended our gun rights, our right to privacy, our sovereignty and borders. I personally feel that Ted Cruz is the best choice to reverse America's road to ruin and am proud to support him in the 2016 Republican primary.”

Dana is listed in the top 40 of Talkers Magazine's top 100 "heavy hitters" and was named Missouri's #1 Radio Personality in 2014. A former award-winning newspaper columnist and notable blogger since 2001, Dana was ranked as one of the top 16 most powerful mothers online by Nielsen and one of the top 30 Under 30 according to the St. Louis Business Journal.

DANA LOESCH

I've fought progressivism for a long time. Before 2008, I crashed progressive protests using "Protest Warrior" signs. After 2008, I was on that fateful inaugural call to organize the first modern-day tea parties around the country. I stood on sidewalks with placards, phone-banked, went door to door, and traveled at my own expense to evangelize liberty and fire people up. For disagreeing about matters of public policy, we were called racists and bigots, and conservative women were accused of betraying their sex. Dissent used to be "patriotic" - until the Obama administration used its alphabet agencies to persecute groups such as True the Vote and deny conservative organizations nonprofit status. Lately, dissent on the right is regarded as treasonous.

I know Donald Trump. He's been a frequent guest on my radio and television programs, and I introduced him at the Conservative Political Action Conference in 2015. He has always been amiable and complimentary. I genuinely like him.

But not as my presidential pick.

I love conversion stories. I have my own, from when I became a conservative 15 years ago. But I'm not running for president. Donald Trump is. And his "conversion" raises serious questions. Trump wrote in his book The America We Deserve that he supported a ban on "assault weapons." Not until last year did he apparently reverse his position. As recently as a couple of years ago, Trump favored the liberal use of eminent-domain laws. He said that the ability of the government to wrest private property from citizens served "the greater good." Is that suddenly a conservative principle?

Why is there a double standard when it comes to evaluating Donald Trump? Why are other politicians excoriated when they change their minds - as, for example, Rick Perry did on the question of whether HPV vaccinations in Texas should be compulsory - but when Trump suddenly says he's pro-life, the claim is accepted uncritically? Why is it unconscionable for Ted Cruz to take and repay a loan from Goldman Sachs to help win a tough Senate race but acceptable for Donald Trump to take money from George Soros? Why is vetting Trump, as we do any other candidate, considered "bashing"? Aren't these fair questions?

Just a few years ago, I and many others were receiving threats for promoting conservative policies and conservative principles - neither of which Donald Trump seems to care about. Yet he's leading.

Popularity over principle - is this the new Right?

- Dana Loesch is the host of a nationally syndicated radio program and of Dana on TheBlaze. She also appears regularly on Fox News. Her second Book, Flyover Nation, will be published this spring.

Oh how nice, Dana Loesch, one of the 22 Trump-hating establishment 'conservatives' bought and paid for by National RINO-Review.

Wonder if he got a free teddy bear and a soccer ball for this endorsement? LOL

Like Dana, I too live in St. Louis, and I likewise support Cruz. Missouri's primary is March 15.

I think you are confused as to what an “establishment” Republican is.

Now, there are some establishment Republicans at NRO, such as Rich Lowry.

But the actual establishment types are the Rubios, Bush, McConnel, Bloomberg, Ryans of the world.

Most of those who wrote articles are far to the right of the establishment and even farther than a moderate (in reality) like Trump.

And yet another braying trumpeter that attacks the messenger. I hope you got something good when you sold your conservative principles?

No, silly! Establishment means anyone who’d doesn’t just love, love, love them some Trump. Thus ends today’s lesson in trumpeter 101.

Dana is a staunch defender of the Second Amendment. Who she supports for President is irrelevant to me (as long as it’s not Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton).

Ahhh, my implement tossing old FRiend! How you been?

You know I was almost ready to bet good money that you were going to ride the lightning the other day with your (ahem) somewhat unwelcome posts and commentary to our Esteemed Founder, glad to see you're still around.

Let me 'axe' you something? (little joke there) Have you tuned in Glenn Beck today?
I hear he's got an 'AIRPLANE' special on!

Makes no difference, they have all made common cause against the Republican front runner, and that’s good enough for me.

Once you compose yourself, please tell us about even ONE occasion before running for President, on ANY issue, when Trump stood up for conservatives in Congress and across America. (A time when Trump joined the good fight for principle, and against the establishment position.)
I can think of Trump railing against bad trade deals. Any other time?
